GOOy CHEWy Relief – FAQs

GOOy CHEWy HONEY plus RELIEF Questions

What ” Is” HONEY plus RELIEF ?

HONEY plus RELIEF is a Nutraceutical / Functional “Confectionery “ Supplement for Human Consumption.

It has been formulated to build Tolerance to major Enviro Allergy TroubleMakers.

Plus Probiotic & Prebiotic Levels to Support Gut Health / Balance and Your Allergy Fight.

I have not heard of an Allergy Remedy called HONEY plus RELIEF, is Relief NEW ?

YES, HONEY plus RELIEF is a totally NEW Allergy Fighting Option !

HONEY plus RELIEF’s Formulation is the result of multi years of Successfully Neutralizing Enviro Allergies at the Human Level ( IgE Blood Test followed by Custom Formalized Immuno-Allergy Drops ) via your Primary Care Physician.

As well as multi Years of Successfully Fighting Paw Chewing, Itching, Gunky Ear Symptoms of Allergy at the Canine Level ( www.HealthyGOO.com ).

HONEY plus RELIEF leverages its Human & Canine Allergy Fighting Experience toward offering ( Human ) Enviro Allergy Sufferers a Click & Order Non-Prescription Solution called HONEY plus RELIEF.

And BTW, because HONEY plus RELIEF Tastes GOOy CHEWy GOOD …

It makes the Serious Business of Fighting Enviro Allergies Tasty Treat FUN … Too !

What does it mean to “Build Tolerance” to Environmental Allergy Sources ?

To begin, Allergy is a Mis-Wired Immune System.

This Mis-Wired Immune System “See’s” harmless Pollens, Dust Mites, Molds, Insects and Animal Dander Sources as “Harmful” to the Body.

When the Mis-Wired Body is exposed to these Harmless Enviro Sources, it initiates an Immune Defense Response. The typical Immune Response can be any One or ALL of the Classic 27 / 7 / ( 365 ? ) Allergy Symptoms of Sneezing, Congestion, Sinus Pressure, Ear Issues, Runny Nose, Eye Issues, Wheezing etc..

HONEY plus RELIEF has been formulated to Leverage the Natural Adaptive Power of your System to Build Tolerance to these Threats. This action is much the same as the principles of Vaccination and Immunization Shots, which have been used for many years to “Build Tolerance” against various Disease Threats.

HONEY plus RELIEF follows a Lose Dose / High Frequency Format which slowly introduces small traces of your Enviro Allergy TroubleMakers into your Body, in Controlled Amounts and at specific Intervals. These Enviro Traces then begin to Leverage / Prompt / Train the Body toward Tolerance to No Longer “See” these Enviro Sources as “Harmful”. In doing so, HONEY plus RELIEF reduces ( Dare we say Eliminates ? ) the Bodies Internal Counter-Attack Immune Response and all the nasty External Allergy Symptoms that follow.

The immune system responds, as if to a real threat, with an immune response or allergic reaction (e.g. allergy symptoms like sneezing, watery eyes, etc.). This allergy treatment works by helping the body build tolerance to specific allergens. By taking a designated dose of an allergen daily, allergy symptoms gradually ease as you become desensitized to the allergen. Eventually the allergy symptoms and the allergy are eliminated as your immune system learns to tolerate specific allergen.

What exactly is “ IN” HONEY plus RELIEF ?

HONEY plus RELIEF’s formulation can be broken into Four Groups

( See Ingredient Label for Specifics ).

#1) The Confectionery Group, includes 100% Natural Organic Honey PLUS classic  Confectionery Ingredients which make it GOOy & CHEWy.

#2) RELIEF’s Enviro Allergy Ingredient Group includes small Traces of:

  •  Cat – Major USA Source of Allergy. Includes Hair and the outer Epidermal Layer of Skin.
  •  Dog – Semi-Major USA Source of Allergy. Includes Mixed Breed, Hair and the outer Epidermal Layer of Skin.

2 Major USA Allergy Producing / Omni-Present Dust Mites.

2 Major USA Allergy Producing Grass Pollens.

3 Major USA Allergy Producing Tree Pollens.

RagWeed, a Major USA Allergy Producing Weed.

3 Major USA Allergy Producing Molds.

  •     Cock Roach, a Major USA Allergy / Allergic Asthma Trigger / Insect.

#3) RELIEF’s Probiotic Group “Seeds” the GUT MicroBiome with Beneficial Good Bugs, which in turn support GUT Mediated Immunity, Digestive Functionality, as well as overall GUT Health & Balance.

#4) RELIEF’s Prebiotic Group “Feeds” the Probiotic Activity. As well as contributing to overall Innate Immune Health & Functionality.

Why so many Environmental Ingredient Sources ?

Environmental Allergy TroubleMakers can be represented by TWO Major Groups.

#1) Year-round, which include: Cat & Dog, Molds and Insect / Cockroach.

#2) Seasonal, which include the Grass, Tree & Weed Pollens.

GOOy CHEWy RELIEF’s Allergy Ingredient Formulation is composed of BOTH Year-round and Seasonal Enviro Allergy TroubleMakers. These represent the Major Allergy TroubleMakers which cause your Allergy AhChoo !

Why are G.I. / GUT Prebiotic and Probiotics included in GOOy CHEWy RELIEF ?

As said by Hippocrates the Father of Medicine. “All Disease Begins in the Gut”;

GOOy CHEWy recognizes that we are more Bacterial “Bug” than we are Human “Cells”.

That the Human GUT / MicroBiome contains 10X more Bacteria than All the Human Cells in our Entire Body. That our GUT is often called the Second Brain operating independently of our Cranial Brain. That our GUT Flora not only promotes normal gastrointestinal function, provides protection from infection, regulates metabolism. But also, that more than 75% of our Immune System’s Functionality originates / resides in our GUT !

To address this important facet of our Health, Honey PLUS Relief contains an exclusive patented strain of Bacillus Coagulans Probiotic which has been Clinically proven to support GUT Mediated Immunity / Health.

Honey PLUS Relief contains a Clinically Based unique nutrient-rich Prebiotic comprised of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, metabolites and antioxidants which work together with Relief’s Probiotic Ingredient to help strengthen your immune system by balancing GUT immune response. In other words, it acts like a multivitamin for your immune system.

So at the End of the Healthy Day …

Doesn’t it make Health Sense for Honey PLUS Relief to Support your Healthy GUT Immune Response, and in doing so, supports your Allergy Fight ?

Why Honey in GOOy CHEWy RELIEF ?

It has long been held that the inclusion of Honey into one’s Diet will help you to Fight your Allergies. The principal behind this, is that because Honey is derived from Multi-Sources of Pollen that with consumption a degree of Tolerance to these Pollens Sources is built up, and in turn Allergy Symptoms are diminished ( at least for the Pollens ).

While there is no Scientific Evidence to support this, the inclusion of HONEY as a major GOOY CHEWy RELIEF Ingredient is just GOOy CHEWy GOOd Taste !

But do not be Fooled, there is Allergy Fighting Method to our GOOy CHEWy HONEY Madness …

“Confectionary Appeal”…

GOOy CHEWy recognizes that the BEST Drug, Therapy, Supplement in the World is rendered Clinically UseLess, if the Patient is “Non-Compliant”.

It is for this reason that 100% Natural Honey was chosen making Honey PLUS Relief not only a Honey Tasting Delicious Confectionery Treat, but ensuring that Child and Adult Patient Honey PLUS Relief Compliance is Guaranteed !

So, because GOOy CHEWy is 100% Natural HONEY GOOd, we can be sure that our Customer / Allergy Suffers are GOOy CHEWy Compliant, while they Enjoy our Honey Treat, they also are Fighting their Allergies.

How can a Single Allergy Ingredient Formulation, such as that used in GOOy CHEWy RELIEF, help Allergy Suffers from the many Geo-Allergy Regions of the USA ?

When building Tolerance to Enviro Allergies, it is the Body’s “Total Exposure” to multiple “Layer upon Layer” Year-round & Seasonal Allergy TroubleMakers which matters. It is then, that this Total Exposure Amount goes up against your Body’s Internal Tolerance / Symptom Threshold Level, which as approached / exceeded will prompt Allergy Symptoms. This is why some Allergy Sufferers are able to manage / mask their Allergy Symptoms to a tolerable level with Pharma for most of the Year, but when the Pollen Seasonals Kick In or a Cat enters the Scene, the Total Exposure Amount exceeds your Body’s Tolerance / Symptom Threshold and your Allergy Misery all the more manifests.

GOOy CHEWy RELIEF’s Allergy Ingredient Formulation has been extensively developed by drawing from hundreds of Year-round and Seasonal IgE Allergy Blood Tests from Allergy Sufferers from all over the USA. It includes the Major Year-round and the Seasonals found in the USA. By building GOOy CHEWy RELIEF Tolerance to these 24 / 7 / 365 Year-round and their Seasonals ( either Directly or via Cross Reactivity ), GOOy CHEWy RELIEF helps You in your Allergy Fight.

How long to begin to Feel Results with GOOy CHEWy RELIEF ?

To begin, as a Supplement, HONEY plus RELIEF can not Claim to Diagnose, Treat, Cure or Prevent Any Disease.

While the Health Status / Degree of Allergy Entrenchment of every Allergy Sufferer is different. And many Health Co-Factors come into play regarding the progress of Fighting Enviro Allergies, the following is offered for Your / your Physicians Review / Consideration.

After the 1 – 2 weeks of RELIEF Usage at a STRESSed Level, it can be expected that an Allergy Sufferer will begin to experience the first “External Signs of Allergy Relief”. These early “External” signs indicate that the “Internal” Tolerance Building Progress has begun.

Please see Below for suggested use of Allergy Suppressant Med’s in early stages of GOOy CHEWy RELIEF.

But Do Not be Fooled !

Because Allergy is a Genetically Rooted, Cumulative, Progressive, Entrenched, Chronic Inflammatory Disease / Allergy SnowBall, which began Rolling at Birth, Gaining Speed & Mass as Time has Passed … Building Tolerance Takes Time and Can Not be Rushed !

As such, with continued HONEY plus RELIEF consumption ( at a daily STRESSed Level), as You move into the Second RELIEF Month, further Allergy Symptom abatement should take place.

But even though Your Symptoms have appreciably Abated, Please Do Not be Fooled and Please Do Not Stop GOOy CHEWy RELIEF.

It is Important to remember that Allergy Disease is really never “Cured”. That Allergy is a nasty, entrenched Disease which requires constant challenge / building Tolerance via GOOY CHEWy RELIEF. That even though your Symptoms may have appreciably abated and You begin to feel your Old Self, it is important that you continue GOOy CHEWy RELIEF at a STRESSed Level for at least another month. In doing so, You will all the more push your Symptoms to a Sub-Symptom Level.

Still further, once you have concluded your 3 month consumption of GOOy CHEWy RELIEF at a STRESSed Level, and once your Symptoms have appreciably been reduced, it is Important to Continue to Challenge your System toward Tolerance at a WELL Level.

The principal of this STRESSed to WELL Strategy is to Continually Challenge your suppressed “Internal Allergy Embers” with the GOOy CHEWy RELIEF Goal to keep them from being ReKindled back into an “External” Allergy Flame once again.

After my Allergy Symptoms have been appreciably Reduced at a STRESSed Level, how long do I have to Continue GOOy CHEWy RELIEF at a WELL Level ?

As previously mentioned above, Allergy is really never “Cured”, rather Internal Tolerance is built via RELIEF @ STRESSed to the extent that External Symptoms are repressed.

Upon entering the WELL Phase of RELIEF, it is recommended that the daily WELL Amounts be followed for approximately 4 weeks. During this time, you will be able to determine if this WELL Amount is sufficient to maintain your Symptom Free Level or if an Increase of the WELL Level may be still necessary to all the more continue to build Internal Tolerance. It may even be possible that your Allergy External Flame soon ReEmerges and you may have to return to your previous STRESSed Levels.

However, if your Symptoms continue to be repressed at your WELL Level, it is possible ( if you wish to explore) to slowly Reduce your present WELL Level with the following Guidance:

Slowly reduce the WELL Level, but if possible maintain the 50% AM & 50% PM Frequency.

Because Allergies are influenced by the Ebb / Flow of Allergy Seasons, general Immune Health and other Health Issues that may challenge the Immune System, always be on Allergy Alert to the possibility that your suppressed Internal Allergy Embers may be trying to be Rekindled Back into an External Allergy Flame once again.

When this happens, increase your WELL daily amount, and if still necessary, move back to your STRESSed Level to keep your favorable Allergy Status under Control.

We here at GOOy CHEWy are Big GUT Health People.

By this we mean that We Know that for every “Single Self Cell” in our Body, there are 10 “Non-Self” Microbe Cells.

That, we are actually more “Microbe than Mammal”.

We also Know that 70% of our Immune System resides in our GUT / G.I. System.

That our GUT’s can be viewed as a Bacterial Flora Garden, which must be Nurtured and Protected against Bad Bug / Pathogenic WEED Dominance.

We also Know that Everyday there is a Good Vs Bad BUG Battle that takes place in our GUTs for Dominance…

With Good Bug Dominance maintaining our correct daily Food BreakDown / Absorption and GUT Health in Check ..

Or if the Bad Bugs WIN …

They establish Dominance, and this favorable daily FOOD Exchange is compromised, not only leading to daily poor Health. But also over time, this Bad Bug Dominance will begin to erode the Integrity of your GUT’s Lining. Which when compromised, will allow “Stuff” to pass from the GUT into the Blood, where it is Attacked as “The Enemy” by your Immune System. Setting into Motion a Slippery Slope of Systemic Chronic Inflammation, Poor Health, in addition to poor functional GUT Health and Balance.

When all is said and done, HONEY plus RELIEF includes Prebiotic and Probiotic Levels to not only to support your Flora Garden’s Health Balance. But it is based on a Healthy GUT, that RELIEF’s Fight against your Enviro Allergy Sources can be Waged Successfully.

It is based on this GUT Dynamics that GOOy CHEWy “Strongly” suggests that Individuals who are beginning HONEY plus RELIEF from a “Highly Allergy STRESSed “ Level, should also include HONEY plus TUMMY at a WELL Daily Amount for first 1 month or so, to all the more ensure a Healthy GUT on which RELIEF can further wage it’s Enviro allergy Fight.

Why does HONEY plus RELIEF also include Prebiotic & Probiotic Levels ?

Has the “Concept” used in GOOy CHEWy RELIEF been tried before ?

Yes, for over 3 Yr., the same Low Dose / High Frequency Strategy used with HONEY plus RELIEF has been used in our Canine Friends to Successfully Fight their Itchy, Paw Chewing, Gunky Ear Enviro Allergies.

Tell me More …

Many Canine Pet Parents do not realize that approximately 30% of our Canine population Suffer from Allergies. This % is even higher in Breeds that are Genetically Pre-Disposed to Allergy. These include : Retrievers, Terriers, German Shepard Dogs, Pushed In Nose etc.. It should be noted that the incidence of Allergy is a Wild Card in our Dogs. That even if the Litter Mother / Father Do Not have a History of Allergy, Allergy can never be Bred out of the Wild Card presence in the Litter.

Classic signs of Canine Allergy / Atopy include ( any / all ) : Moderate to Increasing Constant Paw Chewing, Itching, Biting, Skin Issues ( Hot Spots ) and Gunky Ears.

When you look to the Source of your Dogs Allergy Itch, the first place to look is if the Animal suffers from Fleas. Once Flea is Ruled Out, many Pet Parents are advised to Change the Animal’s Diet, with the “Assumption” that the Allergy Itching is FOOD Allergy Driven. However, when you review Canine Atopy Research, the data indicates that 85% of our Itchy Allergy DOGs suffer from Allergy to the Same Pollens, Dust Mites & Molds that Us Humans Suffer From. Namely, Environmentals.

OK, now that we know that my Dog is Allergic to Environmentals, What can I do to Help ?

When you look to present Canine Allergy Treatment Options, you find suggestions to “Avoid” the Enviro Allergy TroubleMakers. While at Face Value, this makes Sense, it is Impossible in that the Year-round Sources are Omni-Present in Today’s Society and can not be Avoided. And the Seasonals are much the ( Omni-Present ) Same once they arrive. Bottom Line .. Your Dog can not Live its Life in a Bubble. Your dog can not Avoid its Enviro allergy TroubleMakers.

The Next Allergy Option is the use of Itch Suppressant Med’s. These can be either O.T.C. or DVM Prescribed.

While these “Silver Bullets” do often offer Quick Itch Relief, it is Important to realize that there main goal is to provide “Temporary Relief” until the Source of the Allergy Disease can be addressed / takes hold.

Unfortunately, they carry many nasty Short & Long Term Side-Effects, and are often used as a Continual / Permanent Solution.

The Down-Side of this Strategy is that these Med’s achieve their ( Temporary ) Goal of Itch Suppression by Masking Symptoms / Fooling the Body into believing that there is No Problem. Leaving of Allergy Disease Intact, to continue Unabated. That when the Med’s wear off, the Untouched Cumulative Progression of Allergy returns all the more, requiring increased levels of Med’s to achieve the same / previous Itch Relief.

But an often overlooked Down Side of Allergy Med’s is that they achieve their Goal of Itch Suppression by “Suppressing” the Animal’s Entire Immune System. That by doing so, they leave the Animal Vulnerable to Secondary Health Issues and the Slippery Slope of Compromised Health that follows.

That in the case of an Itchy Allergy Dog, a typical Secondary Health Issue sets into Motion the following and Likely Slippery Slope of Compromised Health…

[] Allergy Itching creates Open Wounds which become Infected.

[] Infection is then treated by Antibiotics.

[] That while the Antibiotics Do Kill the Targeted “Bad Bugs / Bacteria “ that they are supposed to Kill ….

[] They also Severely Decimate the Beneficial / Good Bugs / Flora in the Animal’s GUT MicroBiome. That the presence / function of these GUT Good Bugs are critical to daily Food BreakDown / Nutrient Absorption.

[] That following an Antibiotic Protocol, the Animal’s GUT MicroBiome is now Vulnerable to Faster Moving / Opportunistic Bad Bugs, which establish GUT Dominance.

[] Which not only compromise Daily Food Processing, but over time begin to compromise the Integrity of the GUT itself.

[] Whose Porosity allows “Stuff” to pass into the Animal’s System, where it is Attached as “The Enemy” … setting into motion another sequence / Slippery Slope of further Health Issues …

In addition to the UnTreated Cumulative Progression of Allergy where it all started !

As such, it is Obvious to many that a Better Solution than Masking Symptoms Long Term is Critical to the Animal’s Long Term Health and Quality of Life !

When you look at Allergy Disease, you find that Allergy is essentially a Mis-Wired Immune System. An Immune System, that when the Body is Exposed to a given Enviro Source i.e. Pollens, Mites, Molds, Animal & Insect, it “SEE’s” them as a Threat and initiates a Fight / Immune Response. In the case of Dog’s it’s Skin Itch Driven and in Us Humans, it includes the classic symptoms of allergy i.e. Sneezing, Runny Nose / Eyes, Congestion, Sinus Pressure etc..

When you seek Answers to resolving this Mis-Wired Immune System, You find that it is possible to Re-Calibrate this Mis-Wiring by slowly, slowly introducing small pure traces of the actual Allergy TroubleMakers to the System, in Low Dose Amounts, at a high level of Frequency, such that they take advantage of the natural Adaptive Power of the Immune System to slowly “Nudge / Leverage” the Immune System to a higher level of Tolerance. With the Goal, over time, to build an increased level of Tolerance to these Allergy TroubleMakers to the point that the Body no longer “SEE’s” them as TroubleMakers, and in turn does not activate the Fight / Immune Response. ( Hopefully ) Translating to an Allergy Neutral Animal.

So Where do I find this Tolerance building Allergy Solution ?

When you look to our Canine Medical Resources, you find a special group called DACVD, which stands for Diplomat American College of Veterinary Dermatology.

Essentially, this specialized group have not only achieved a DVM / Veterinary Medicine Status ( not an easy task ), but they have gone on ala more Academic & more Hands On, to an Animal Specialty akin to an Allergist for Humans.

But unlike Human Allergists, a DACVD not only addresses Dermatology Issues for Dogs, but Cats and the many other Animal species in today’s Society. This in addition to Surgical Procedures, fighting Cancer and a host of other ailments that keep them very busy.

It is thru a DACVD, that Allergy ImmunoTherapy SHOTs are offered.

But as with Human Allergy SHOTs, Canine Allergy ImmunoTherapy is considered the “Gold Standard”, in that they slowly build Immune Tolerance to Test Identified Allergy Sources …

But, Allergy ImmunoTherapy can be expensive, require administration of SHOTs by Pet Parent, only begin to produce symptom cessation after 6-9 mo of Shots, require over 1 Yr to substantially reduce major symptoms and require a total of 3-4 Yr. of continued Shots.

Needless to say, few Pet Parents take this Path and are resolved to a LifeTime, Merry “No Go” Round to Medicating Symptoms ala Pharma.

It is to this Suffering Canine population and frustrated Pet Parent population that a company called www.HealthyGOO.com has developed its product called www.DoggyGOO.com .

While sounding Cute & Playful, Doggy GOO takes it’s Allergy Fighting focus very Seriously.

It is by building on the Clinical & Medical Success of Allergy Immunotherapy’s Methodology that Healthy GOO has formulated a 100% Natural, Canine Health Supplement that slowly builds Tolerance to the major multiple Enviro Allergy Sources that afflict our Dogs. It is by following a Low Dose / High Frequency Strategy that Doggy GOO slowly builds Tolerance to a Dogs Enviro Allergy TroubleMakers …

Does Doggy GOO Neutralize Canine Enviro Allergies ?

While it is NOT Legally possible to “Claim” that Doggy GOO is intended to Diagnose, Treat, Cure or present ANY Disease ( including Canine Allergy / Atopy )…

It CAN reiterate what other Canine Pet Parents are saying about their Dogs’ GOO Experience Fighting Itchy Enviro Allergies.

While Healthy GOO welcomes You to visit Doggy GOO’s PET Parent Testimonial Page ..

http://www.DoggyGOO.com/Testimonials/Index.aspx

Here is just one of the many Positive Testimonials from Pet Parents who “ Had” an Itchy Allergy Dog and now have an Healthy & Happy animal with a Healthy GOO Glow.

I have a 5 year old Cockapoo / Colby who was constantly Licking her Paws, Scratching herself so hard she would break the Skin, in addition to having nearly constant Ear Infections.

The Vet thought she had Environmental Allergies, on top of her Beef, Corn, Wheat & Chicken issues.

Several trips to the Vet netted only Ear Medication and Prednisone. I did not want her on either long term, but I also wanted her to be more Comfortable and Not have the Skin and Ear Infections.

So I started an Internet search and came across Doggy GOO.

I knew nothing about it except what I read on their website and that it was developed by a Veterinarian. It was worth a shot if it meant she would not need to have Prednisone  long term.

Well, within 2 weeks she had Stopped Licking constantly.

Her Wounds were Healing up and Her Ears were Clearing Up.

It was probably about a month and she was like a normal Dog with No Allergies.

I lapsed last fall and the symptoms came back. She has now been on Healthy Doggy GOO for several months and is back to her normal self.

She Loves the Stuff ! It is like a Treat for Her.

I have told my Vet about it and have recommended it to many other Pet Parents. I am so Happy it is giving her back a good Quality of Life as she Loves to Run Outside.

It is Easy to Use and Cheaper than monthly visits to the Vet.

I would recommend it to Any Pet Parent who has a Furry Friend with itchy Enviro Allergies.

What is of Extreme Importance with regard to these Doggy GOO Pet Parent Testimonials is their relevance to HONEY plus RELIEF and its focus toward fighting Human Allergies. As well as to the Question “Has the “Concept” used in GOOy CHEWy RELIEF been tried before ?

To this Question, the Doggy GOO / Canine Vs HONEY plus RELIEF / Human Allergy Relevance invites us to Connect the DOTs between 4 Legged Animals and 2 Legged Animals.

#1) Our Dogs and Us Humans basically suffer from the Same Enviro Allergy Sources.

Of course there is a slight difference in the Enviro “Mix” i.e. Dogs can not be Allergic to other Dogs or Cats like Humans. And our Dogs are not Allergic to Cockroach like Us Humans.

#2) Allergy in Both Dogs & Humans is a similar Mis-Wired Immune System.

#3) Allergy Neutralization ala ImmunoTherapy Methodology, and the ability to Successfully Re-Calibrate / Build Tolerance in the Immune System are basically the Same in our Dogs and Us.

BUT, there is the One Very Important point to be made relative to Doggy GOO …

With Animal Health, there is No Placebo Effect.

The Animal does not know that its GOO-Licious Peanut Butter Treat is Fighting its 24 / 7 / 365 Enviro Allergy Itch ..

The ONLY thing that matters is …

You have an Itchy Dog > You bring Doggy GOo into the Picture > and Your Dog’s Itching is Reduced ( Dare we say Stops ) .. Or the Itching Only gets Worse !

In the case of Doggy GOO …

Our GOO Pet Parents say that Doggy GOO is the Only OTC or DVM Prescribed Product that has Stopped their Dogs Allergy Itch !

Thus said…

Can it be said that GOOy CHEWy HONEY plus RELIEF Neutralizes Enviro Allergies in Humans ?

The ReSounding Answer is NO

But, we can only, point to the similarities between Canine Allergy and Human Allergy, point to the No Placebo Effect when it comes to Canine Allergies, point to Doggy GOO’s Success in Fighting Canine Allergy Itch …

And Ask You, the Human Allergy Sufferer to….  Try GOOy CHEWy RELIEF

Then let …   GOOy CHEWy RELIEF to Speak for Itself > To You > via Improved Allergy Symptoms ( or Not ) ..

Then tell Other Allergy Sufferers … and share with GOOy CHEWy ..

Shall I watch for any Side-Effects called Oral Allergy Syndrome ?

Have you ever heard someone say that Oranges make her mouth itch or that Cantaloupe irritates his throat ? If you have become inexplicably Sensitive to certain Foods and you also suffer from Enviro Allergies, there is a chance that you are dealing with Oral Allergy Syndrome – Symptoms which are caused by similar substances found in both Pollen and some raw Produce.

In fact, up to 30% of people with Seasonal Allergies also develop these kinds of local-ized allergic reactions to Food(s).

The reason is, that the body’s immune system recognizes and reacts to some of the same Proteins on raw fruits, vegetables or nuts that are also found in certain pollens. Even if the proteins are not identical, they can be similar enough to confuse your immune system.

The main signs of Oral Allergy Syndrome are swelling in the Tongue, Mouth, Throat, or Lips: an Itchy Mouth or Ears; or scratchy Throat directly after eating a raw fruit, vegetable, nut or even GOOy CHEWy RELIEF .

Fortunately, the Irritation usually goes away quickly and does not require any Treatment, but up to 10% of the time, the symptoms can progress to a more body-wide reaction like hives or increased pulse. These more severe reactions are likely to happen to individuals sensitive / allergic to peanuts or tree nuts and further GOOy CHEWy RELIEF consumption should be reviewed with your Physician.

Antihistamines may help people with Oral Allergy Syndrome. But the best adjusting action when this happens is to avoid the Foods that are triggering this reaction.

[>> Common Cross-Reactions

If You are Allergic to BIRCH Pollen..

You may Oral Allergy Syndrome react to Apples, Almonds, Carrots, Celery, Cherries, Hazelnuts, Kiwis, Peaches, Pears, and Plums.

If You are Allergic to GRASS Pollen..

You may Oral Allergy Syndrome react to Celery, Melons, Oranges, Peaches, and Tomatoes.

If You are Allergic to RagWeed Pollen..

You may Oral Allergy Syndrome react to Bananas, Cucumbers, Melons, SunFlower Seeds, and Zucchini.

Also, because GOOy CHEWy RELIEF contains pure concentrates of major Grass / Tree / Weed Pollens, should you experience Oral Allergy Syndrome Symptoms with GOOy CHEWy RELIEF, we suggest reducing the Daily Amount, but not the Frequency and see if symptoms abate. The addition of an Antihistamine may also take the edge off. Should symptoms persist with above noted measures, please stop GOOy CHEWy RELIEF and consult your Physician for further measures. Or, feel Free to Call GOOy CHEWy @ 855-380-4802 to discuss.

You may find it interesting that if You do experience Oral Allergy Syndrome Symptoms with RELIEF, while they may present as a casual temporary annoyance, it actually is an indication that the Enviro Allergy TroubleMakers found in GOOy CHEWy RELIEF actually “protein match” what you are allergic to. And that by tapering down your RELIEF Amount ( not Frequency ) you will slowly build tolerance to the point that soon you will be able to slowly increase to the desired daily amount toward the GOOy CHEWy RELIEF Goal to finally build Tolerance to your Enviro allergy TroubleMakers.

Individuals who have mouth ulcers or some dental inflammation, gastroenteritis or increased asthma symptoms should consult their Physician before beginning GOOy CHEWy RELIEF.

As an added comment, please see FAQ Question > Is it possible that I will experience enhanced Allergy Symptoms with GOOy CHEWy RELIEF ? > in this FAQ Section.

Is it possible that I will experience enhanced Allergy Symptoms with GOOy CHEWy RELIEF ?

Because GOOy CHEWy RELIEF contains small amounts of the major Enviro Allergy Sources that cause your Allergy Achoo, it is possible that you may initially experience enhanced Allergy Symptoms when you consume GOOy CHEWy RELIEF; especially if you are already highly Allergy Sensitized / Suffering or if you have Allergic Asthma.

While Humans bring their Allergy TroubleMakers into their bodies via their Respiratory, it is possible that the body may allergy react ( See FAQ Oral Allergy Syndrome ) to the contact to these sources via Oral / Ingestion RELIEF exposure.

As a general Rule, to allow the body to begin to acclimate to RELIEF’s Enviro Allergy Ingredients, it is always suggested that you begin GOOy CHEWy RELIEF very slowly ( a WELL Amount for 1st or 2ndWeek before moving to a STRESSed Amount ). Remember, Allergy is a cumulative, progressive, chronic disease which has been entrenched since birth. And to begin to build tolerance Can Not be Rushed and Takes Time.

By starting slowly, the early foundation / tolerance stages are established on which further tolerance building can take place. Once you have acclimated your Body, without any enhanced Allergy Symptoms, to the RELIEF’s WELL Amount, you can move to STRESSed.

If however, you continue to have enhanced Allergy Symptoms in the early stages of RELIEF, you can consume Antihistamines / Allergy Med’s with RELIEF to take the edge off / provide you with the Quality of Life you deserve until tolerance is further built and symptoms recede.

It is also possible for You to reduce the daily Amount, but not the Frequency until symptoms recede, then progressively increase daily amount to STRESSed and move forward.

Certainly, the Goal of GOOy CHEWy is to build Tolerance to the point that Symptoms recede and you can go Totally GOOy CHEWy RELIEF !

You know your Body better than anyone else, it is up to You to gage the amount and pace of your Tolerance building.

Remember, GOOy CHEWy RELIEF follows a Low Dose / High Frequency Strategy in building Tolerance. As such, it is best to maintain the AM & PM Frequency while adjusting the Amount / Frequency.

Additionally …

If there is ANY Doubt or uncertainty in your Mind regarding the Use / Progression of GOOy CHEWy RELIEF for You or a Family Member, please feel free to Stop Consumption of RELIEF and share your experiences with your physician for further guidance.

As an added GOOy CHEWy Comment …

It might be GOOy CHEWy RELIEF argued that your initial enhanced Allergy Symptoms are a Good Indication.

Why ?

Because GOOy CHEWy RELIEF actually contains small amounts of “What you are Enviro Allergic To “ , the fact that you are experiencing enhanced Allergy Symptoms tells you TWO ( good ) things:

#1) Because GOOy CHEWy RELIEF contains the major Enviro Allergy TroubleMakers in Humans, your enhanced Symptoms Confirm that Yes, in fact, You do suffer from Allergy to Enviro Sources. So, you know that you are on the Right Track with RELIEF.

#2) Further, because of your enhanced RELIEF Allergy Symptoms, you can be sure that the Enviro Allergy TroubleMakers found in RELIEF’s Formulation Matches Up and is Targeting / Building Tolerance to “Your” respective Enviro TroubleMakers.

Remember, Allergy is a Mis-Wired System.

An Allergy SnowBall that began at Birth, gaining Speed & Mass as it has Rolled Down Your Life’s Hill.

A nasty, tenacious, entrenched chronic disease which requires tolerance building that can not be Rushed and Takes GOOy CHEWy RELIEF Time.

GOOy CHEWy RELIEF’s Mantra is ..

Stay the GOOy Course.

Sure / Steady / GOOy Persistence WINs Your Allergy Fight.

Is it OK to use OTC or MD Prescribed Allergy or Allergic Asthma Medicines with GOOy CHEWy RELIEF ?

Yes, because Internal Tolerance building to entrenched Enviro Allergy TroubleMakers takes Time and Can not be Rushed …

If Your Quality of Life is not where you want it to be, it is OK to consume OTC Allergy Relief Med’s “Short Term”. Then, as You begin to Feel / See the first signs of GOOy CHEWy RELIEF, it is OK to Slowly wean Down your Med Levels, with the ultimate GOOy Goal to Go Totally GOOy CHEWy RELIEF ASAP as GOOy Possible.

If you are taking M.D. Prescribed Med’s for your Allergies or Your Allergic Asthma, it is Important to make your Physician aware of your GOOy CHEWy RELIEF choice and follow their Guidance

Side Effect Connection between Oral Allergy Syndrome and High Blood Pressure Medications.

Side Effect Connection between Oral Allergy Syndrome and High Blood Pressure Medications

Some allergy suffers with hypertension may be at increased risk for severe reaction

Oral allergy syndrome sufferers that take high blood pressure medications may experience extreme facial swelling and difficulty breathing the next time they bite into a juicy apple. When patients with oral allergy syndrome take angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors for hypertension and congestive heart failure, they are at an increased risk for a life-threatening allergic reaction known as anaphylaxis, according to new research.

ACE inhibitors can cause what is known as a “priming effect” in oral allergy syndrome sufferers.

“When a sufferer’s allergies are primed and they come in contact with a particular allergen, they experience a more severe than normal reaction. Symptoms can include extreme facial swelling (angioedema) and difficulty breathing, which can lead to death in some cases.”

Hay fever sufferers that experience an itchy mouth or scratchy throat after eating certain raw fruits or vegetables and some tree nuts, may have oral allergy syndrome. It is also known as pollen-food syndrome, since it is caused by cross-reacting allergens found in both pollen and raw produce.

“Sufferers can often mistake oral allergy syndrome symptoms for food allergy. But it isn’t a food allergy, and often patients can eat that food when it is cooked. For example, an individual may have a reaction to a raw apple but not to apples baked in a pie.”

When allergists advised patients to avoid raw produce and switched from ACE inhibitors to angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) therapy, no further oral allergy symptoms occurred.

Not everyone with a pollen allergy will experience oral allergy syndrome when eating raw produce and tree nuts. However, the syndrome is commonly associated with these allergens:

[] Birch Pollen: apple, almond, carrot, celery, cherry, hazelnut, kiwi, peach, pear, plum

[] Grass Pollen: celery, melons, oranges, peaches, tomato

[] Ragweed Pollen: banana, cucumber, melons, sunflower seeds, zucchini

While oral allergy symptoms are typically mild, including mouth and throat discomfort, swelling and itching, it is important sufferers discuss these symptoms with their physician before beginning GOOy CHEWy RELIEF because anaphylaxis can sometimes occur.

Individuals who have mouth ulcers or some dental inflammation, gastroenteritis or increased asthma symptoms should consult their Physician before beginning GOOy CHEWy RELIEF

Why is Cockroach included in GOOy CHEWy RELIEF ?

Cockroaches Cause Asthma in Kids

If cockroaches make your skin crawl, here’s yet another reason to abhor them: they trigger asthma.

In fact, it now appears that cockroaches cause asthma more than any other source — including pollen, pet dander, or pollution. Although cockroaches have been a suspected asthma activator for many years, a new study out of the Boston University School of Medicine has confirmed that cockroaches are the leading cause of asthma among inner city kids.

The thing that makes this study particularly significant is that it pulled evidence not from the lab, but from real life. The researchers collected buckets of dust balls from public housing units in Detroit, using a vacuum cleaner. According to lead researcher Daniel Remick, “We collected house dust — big dust bunnies — added water, let them mix overnight, and spun the junk out of them, until we had extract.”

On analysis, the extract was filled with cockroach exoskeletons and droppings. The extract was injected into mice to sensitize their immune systems to it, and then the mice were exposed to dust particles from the same source. Upon breathing in the dust, the mice started wheezing, having asthma attacks. A control group of mice simply breathed in dust mites without having had previous exposure to the cockroach protein, and they showed none of the asthma symptoms. The researchers repeated the experiment with similar results using dust balls from different sites.

Given that up to one-third of kids who live in public housing suffer from asthma and that a third of city-dwellers who have allergies and asthma have cockroach allergies, the problem is a serious one. In addition to being sources of allergens, cockroaches carry 33 different kinds of bacteria, six kinds of parasitic worms and various other pathogens, and they trigger eczema. In other words, it is important to get rid of the pests.

And cockroaches are everywhere, not just in public housing: there are 4000 known species of the ugly bugs, ranging from teeny things to giants so large you can hear their feet tapping on the floor as they scuttle across it. (A number of years ago when travelling cross country, I met some of those bad boys personally. Their “tapping” was so loud it woke me up. We’re talkin’ big! I didn’t dare sleep the rest of the night. Also, as a Vista Volunteer back in the ’60’s, I stayed in facilities where their populations were so dense you couldn’t see one inch of actual floor when you turned the lights on at night — for about three seconds, until they all scurried over your feet and into the walls.) They live in almost every country of the world and are notoriously difficult to eradicate. To knock out cockroach infestations, many resort to using nasty pesticides, although some forms of cockroaches have developed resistance to the most popular chemicals. And so, many experts recommend using other forms of control before resorting to the more toxic methods (though pesticide application is still the most common avenue of control).

While keeping the home spotlessly clean may help, those living in crowded areas may find the pests in their house if a messy neighbor attracts them to the vicinity, or if they miss even a single errant breadcrumb in an otherwise pristine kitchen. Leaky pipes, condensation, recycling bins, or trash cans can attract them; and in tropical areas, they may seem to be omnipresent. According to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of American, between 78 and 98 percent of urban homes have cockroaches, and the statistic is probably similar in the tropics. The lure of biological and chemical control may become irresistible for those living on a cockroach highway, accounting at least in part for the approximately one billion dollars spent annually on cockroach control in the US.

Use Frequency for GOOy CHEWy HONEY plus RELIEF

How often shall I consume GOOy CHEWy RELIEF ?

Because Allergy Disease can be described as a Mis-Wiring in your Immune, when building Tolerance to your Enviro Allergy Sources it is Important to Understand that … It Takes Time and Can Not be Rushed.

It is for this reason that GOOy CHEWy RELIEF follows a Low Dose / High Frequency Strategy toward it’s Tolerance Building Goal.

It is via the Delivery of GOOy CHEWy RELIEF’s Enviro Allergy Ingredients at Low Doses, to a Sensitized Individual’s System, at Multi-Times during the Day, that the Natural Adaptive Power of your Immune System can be Slowly Leveraged toward Higher Tolerance Levels to these TroubleMakers. With the desired ultimate Goal to raise the Level of Tolerance to the point that Symptoms are pushed below the Threshold Level and begin to Abate ( #1).

In addition to this Fact, is the high likelihood that the GOOy CHEWy RELIEF Consumer is ( most likely ) already “Allergy Sensitized / STRESSed”. Namely, their System is already in a heightened Allergy Immune Response Mode to their Enviro Sources.

Thus said, when beginning GOOy CHEWy RELIEF, it is Important to >>> Take IT Slow !

This Take IT Slow Strategy allows:

[] Your System to Slowly acclimate to the Active Ingredients in GOOy CHEWy RELIEF.

[] AND, allows “ YOU”, to Slowly Understand If / How / To What Extent your Body responds to GOOy CHEWy

RELIEF’s Active Ingredients.

Remember, it is a Slow Process !

It is for this reason that GOOy CHEWy suggests that their Consumer start at a WELL Amount / Frequency for the First Week or Two.

That by doing so, they can “Listen to their Body” and should they begin to experience any subtle enhanced Allergy Symptoms, they can reduce the Amount ( not Frequency ) until Symptoms recede, then Maintain this New Amount / Frequency Level for a Week or So, then Slowly Increase the Amount once again to desired Levels.

Please find GOOy CHEWy RELIEF’s Instructions for Use. You will note that if there are Any Questions, or un-desired responses to GOOy CHEWy RELIEF, that you discontinue Consumption and if you feel necessary, consult your Physician.

#1) GOOy CHEWy RELIEF is a Supplement, Not a Drug and can not Claim to Cure, Diagnose of Mitigate any Disease.

Statements are not meant to Replace the Medical Advice of your Physician.

Statements made by GOOy CHEWy are not based on Clinical Study Trials, but rather a belief of the Principals / Ingredients involved.

GOOy CHEWy RELIEF “Instructions for Use” .

To begin, it is Important to remember that Allergy Disease is an entrenched Mis-Wired Immune System. And that building Tolerance to Your major Environmental Allergy TroubleMakers, Takes Time and Can Not be Rushed.

To the GOOy CHEWy RELIEF Goal to Slowly Build Tolerance to your major Enviro Allergy TroubleMakers, GOOy CHEWy follows a “Low Dose / High Frequency Strategy”.

Further, GOOy CHEWy RELIEF contains minuscule amounts of the major Enviro Sources which cause “You” Allergy Symptoms ( See www.DoggyGOO.com for Canine Allergy Sources ).

These major Enviro Allergy Sources have been Identified as:

  • Cat
  • Dog
  • 2 Types of Dust Mite
  • 2 Types of Grass Pollen
  • 3 Types of Tree Pollen.
  • 1 Weed / RagWeed
  • 3 Types of Mold
  • 1 Insect / CockRoach

It is via GOOy CHEW RELIEF’s Low Dose / High Frequency Exposure of these Enviro Allergy Sources, to your System , that GOOy CHEWy RELIEF ( #1) ) slowly leverages the Natural Adaptive Capability of your Immune System toward Building Tolerance to these Enviro Sources.

In addition to building Tolerance to Enviro Sources, GOOy CHEWy recognizes the Important of Gut Immunity / Health as a major “Supporting Player” in your Allergy Fight. It is for this reason that GOOy CHEWy RELIEF also contains a Good Bug / Probiotic Layer to support GUT MicroBiome Health / Systemic Immunity . As well as a Prebiotic Level as an Immune Modulator and to Support / “Feed” your beneficial Gut Flora.

Thus said, to your initial Question …

Please describe GOOy CHEWy RELIEF “Instructions for Use” ?

GOOy CHEWy RELIEF’s suggested Consumption Schedule is divided into Two Groups:

#1) When You are “Allergy STRESSed”.

#2) When You are Not Allergy STRESSed, which we call a “WELL Status”.

Further, You will notice that the Amount of GOOy RELIEF is based on your Age.

And of course, because no one knows your Health Status better than You & your Physician, it is always suggested that You review and Health Measures with your Dr..

Below is GOOy CHEWy RELIEF’s “Instructions for Use”.

GOOy CHEWy Relief STRESSed Phase

As a general rule, “You” are “GOOy RELIEF STRESSed” when you are experiencing any / all or more of the Classic Symptoms of Allergy such as Sneezing, Running Nose, Congestion, Sinus Pressure, Watery Eyes etc..

The frequency / intensity of your Allergy Symptoms may vary from individual to individual. But for most Allergy Sufferers, there is No Question when their Allergies are causing compromised / STRESSed Health & Quality of Life Issues.

In Allergy Circles, there is a Saying …

Question: When is a Cold Not a Cold ?

Answer: When it is 24 / 7 / 365 / a Lifetime / Allergy.

When You Review the STRESSed Levels of GOOy RELIEF, You will notice that it is suggested that You begin at the WELL Amount for the First / Second Week or so. This Suggestion is made in light of our previous comment i.e. Building Tolerance to Your major Environmental Allergy TroubleMakers, Takes Time and Can not be Rushed”.

Given that you are Allergy STRESSed, it is Important to Slowly Introduce / Begin to build Tolerance within your System. As such, You will notice further, that “If You experience Enhanced Allergy or Oral Symptoms”, that it is suggested that you Reduce the Amount ( not Frequency ), until your Symptoms Stabilize / Diminish” then slowly increase the designated STRESSed amount.

As a Side Note…

Because it takes time for GOOy CHEWy RELIEF to begin to build “Internal” Tolerance to the extent that “External” Allergy Symptoms begin to present, it is OK to use OTC or Prescription Med’s / Pharma to give You the Quality of Life that You Deserve. Then, as Your Allergy Symptoms begin to ( hopefully ) abate, it is GOOy CHEWy RELIEF’s Goal is to slowly wean down & off the Med’s as GOOy RELIEF continues it’s Allergy Tolerance building.

Once You have moved thru the WELL / Acclimation Stage of GOOy RELIEF without any enhanced Allergy Symptoms, You can then move to the indicated STRESSed Amounts.

Suggested intake of GOOy CHEWy RELIEF STRESSed is minimally 50% AM and 50% PM of indicated daily amount.

If You so desire, the “Frequency” of the designated daily amount can be modified to more than an AM & PM frequency. As mentioned previously, GOOy RELIEF follows a Low Dose / High Frequency Format. As such, if you would like to “Enjoy” your Honey Treat at an AM / Noon / PM Frequency, this is certainly OK. Still further, a 9 AM / Noon / 3 PM and 6 PM Frequency may prove beneficial. This is especially valid when in STRESSed Mode. Many GOOy Users find the Wax Paper Wrap will allow you to wrap / store un-consumed amounts of GOOy RELIEF until next interval.

GOOy RELIEF WELL Phase

As a general rule, “You” are “GOOy RELIEF WELL” after:

[] You have Successfully moved thru GOOy CHEWy RELIEF’s STRESSed Phase and your overt Allergy Symptoms have dissipated. A further elaboration can be found in the GOOy RELIEF Duration FAQ Section.

[] Or, if Your Allergy Symptoms are “Not an Issue” but you wish to take Pre-Emptive Tolerance Building Action against possibility of future Allergy build up.

You will notice that the WELL Amount varies for the Age 17 + group. In this case, it is up to the Individual to establish which daily Amount is Necessary to keep the “Internal Suppressed Embers” from being ReKindled Back into an “External Allergy Flame” once again.

Friendly GOOy CHEWy RELIEF Reminder ..

Allergy Disease is really never “ Cured” .

Rather, it is all about building Internal Enviro Tolerance to the extent that Symptoms are pushed below External Symptom level. As such, once you have moved from STRESSed to RELIEF WELL Amounts, you may find that as the Health / Robustness of Your Immune System Fluxes with Time due to various possibilities; and / or as the Allergy Seasons Ebb & Flow, it may be necessary increase your daily amount of GOOy CHEWy RELIEF if You feel Old Allergy Symptoms “Trying” to Re-Emerge.

For FeedBack relating to the Duration of Allergy STRESSed & WELL, Please see the FAQ > How long do I maintain a STRESSed Amount of GOOy CHEWy RELIEF ?

#1) GOOy CHEWY RELIEF is a Supplement supporting the natural Structure and Functionality of the Body. GOOy CHEWy RELIEF is not a Drug and can not claim to Cure, Treat or Mitigate any Disease. Because no one knows your Health Profile / Status better than You & your Physician, before undertaking GOOy CHEWy RELIEF, or any Supplement, it is always best to Consult your Physician.

GOOy CHEWy RELIEF “Magic” begins in the Mouth.

When it is said that GOOy CHEWy RELIEF’s Allergy Tolerance Building / Magic “Begins” in the Mouth, it is important to review GOOy’s Low Dose / High Frequency Exposure Strategy; whereby by exposing the Body to small minuscule Amounts of “What You are Enviro Allergic To”, the Body has the natural ability to be Leveraged toward a Higher Level of Tolerance to these Offenders.

It is with this in Mind, that GOOy CHEWy believes that it is possible for RELIEF’s Enviro Allergy Ingredients to Begin their Tolerance Building Immediately / Once these Allergy Ingredients Enter the Body i.e. the Mouth; and as they move thru the Body, ( in varying degrees ) continue to leverage the Immune System toward Tolerance.

With every Enjoyment of GOOy RELIEF, it is requested that You Slowly Dissolve the selected amount of GOOy RELIEF in your Mouth, while occasionally Touching the Tip of your Tongue to the Roof of your Mouth.

While this suggestion may seem odd, it is made to encourage full dissolvent of RELIEF in the Mouth, as well as to extend your Enjoyment.

As an added note, so as not to Dilute any of GOOy RELIEF’s Residual Benefits, it is Important that GOOy RELIEF be consumed / enjoyed all by itself with No Water or Food for approx.. 5 minutes after.

GOOy CHEWy RELIEF “Magic” begins in the Mouth.

How long Do I Maintain a daily STRESSed Amount of GOOy CHEWy RELIEF ?

As is often said of Questions such as this …

There is an Easy Answer / Component and Hard Answer / Component to It ….

The “Easy Answer” is ..

Continue GOOy CHEWy RELIEF at a STRESSed Level for approximately 1 month after Your Allergy STRESSed Symptoms have ( hopefully ) appreciably Abated.

Because the Same Methodology, which is used in GOOy CHEWy RELIEF, has been Successfully used with www.DoggyGOO.com, and has been shown to WORK with our Paw Chewing, Itchy & Gunky Ear Allergy DOGs !

OM-GOOy !

Did you say, I should Try GOOy RELIEF because it has been shown to Work to Help Enviro Allergies in our Dogs ?!

The Easy Answer = Yes / We believe so !

The Hard Answer is as follows…

Let’s Connect the DOTs between Doggy GOO and GOOy CHEWy RELIEF’s Allergy Fighting Strategies !

[] Allergy is a Mis-Wired Immune System in Human’s and in our Dogs.

Whereby this Mis-Wiring “See’s” Harmless Enviro Sources i.e. Pollens etc. as “Harmful”, which with subsequent exposures Activates an Immune Response in an Effort to “Fight” this perceived Offender.

[] Approximately 30% of our DOGs suffer from Allergies.

[] Of this 30% Canine Allergy population, 85% of our Paw Chewing, Itchy, Hot Spot & Gunky Ear DOGs Suffer from ALLERGY to the Same Grass / Tree / Weed Pollens, Dust / Storage & Molds that We Suffer From.

[] Enter www.DoggyGOO.com

[] Doggy GOO is a DVM Dermatologist Formulated, 100% Natural Canine Supplement, which builds Tolerance to 3 Grass / 1 Tree / 4 Weed Pollens, 2 Dust Mites, 3 Molds and 2 Storage / Food Mites.

PLUS, because GUT Health & Balance is Imperative when Fighting Canine Itchy Allergies, Doggy GOO also includes Probiotic and Prebiotic Levels to Support a Healthy GUT MicroBiome.

But BEST of All….

The “GOO” in Doggy GOO is the Finest “Human” 100% Natural, Organic Peanut Butter that Money can Buy.

Why Peanut Butter ?

Because, as We All Know ..

The Best Drug, Supplement or Therapy in the World is Rendered UseLess IF the Patient is Non-Complaint.

And in the Case of Doggy GOO, there are Two Compliance Challenges ..

#1) The Animal

#2) The Pet Parent.

So…

#1) Because DOGs just LUV Peanut Butter, and Doggy GOO is a GOO-Licious Peanut Butter Treat ….You can be assured that Your Dog will be “Compliant”.

#2) And, because Your Dog LUVs GOO, they will make Sure that “You / the Pet Parent” is Complaint.

[] But there is More …. GOO Method to our GOO Madness …

Because Doggy GOO follows a Low Dose / High Frequency Strategy toward building Tolerance to its Enviro Allergy Offenders in your Dog …

With every Lick / Lick / Lick of Doggy GOO, small miniscule amounts of these Enviro Allergy Ingredients are brought into the Dogs Mouth, where they begin to take advantage of the natural adaptive power of your Dog’s Immune System.

Slowly over Time, Doggy GOO’s Enviro Allergy Ingredients Leverage the Animal’s System toward Tolerance.

[[]] Does Doggy GOO Work ?

We say …

With Animal Health there is No Placebo Effect.

If You have a 24 / 7 / 365 Itchy Allergy Dog > You introduce Your Dog to a GOO-Licious Peanut Butter Daily Treat = Over Time … You have an Itchy Dog OR You Do Not have an Itchy Dog !

[] So… How long does it take Doggy GOO to Help an Itchy Dog ?

To put Doggy GOO’s TimeTable into Perspective, let’s also review / compare present day Canine Allergy Treatment Options to Doggy GOO:

Option #1) Your Dog is to Avoid it’s Enviro Allergy Troublemakers.

While at face value, this may sound Reasonable, this suggestion is really an UnRealistic Option.

Why ?

Because it is Impossible for your Dog “To Avoid / Live their Life in a Bubble”.

Besides, as research has shown, Major Enviro Allergy Sources are Omni-Present / UnAvoidable in Today’s World.

Option #2) Subject your Dog to Itch Stopping Pharma.

It is Important to Remember that Med’s only Mask Symptoms and achieve their “Itch Stopping Goal” by Fooling the Body into believing that there is No Itch Problem.

That they Do Nothing to Target / Address or attempt to Resolve the Cumulative / Progressive Source of Allergy.

That besides producing a litany of nasty Side-Effects, they achieve their Itch Suppression by Suppressing your Animal’s Entire Immune System…

That by doing so, MED’s leave the Animal’s Immune System Compromised and Vulnerable to Secondary Health Issues .. typically Infection ..

That given a constant Itchy Allergy Dog, the Itching often leads to Open Wounds, which are vulnerable to Infection due to a suppressed Immune System, which are then Treated by Antibiotics, which Kill “Both” the Bad & Good Bugs / Flora in your Animal’s Gut, which leave the Animal’s Gut Beneficial Flora / MicroBiome Decimated, leaving the Gut Vulnerable, which then becomes Pathogenically Dominated by opportunistic Bad Bugs, which not only compromise daily Food Breakdown / Absorption, but over time begins to damage the Integrity of the Gut, which then allows “Stuff” to pass into the System, where it is seen as Harmful by the System, setting off a Defense Response and a Lifetime Slippery Slope of compromised Secondary Health Issues.. In addition to an Ever Worsening Allergy Status.

Option #3) Allergy Skin Testing / Allergy Shots / ImmunoTherapy

Allergy Skin Testing = Not Pet or Pet Parent Friendly / requires a Referral after you have gone thru all possible DVM measures / DVM Dermatologists are Few ( only 200 in USA ) / require Animal to be OFF Itch Suppress Med’s 4-6 Weeks ( not a Happy Time for Animal or Pet Parent ) to purge Itch Suppress Med’s from System / Skin Testing is Costly.

Immuno-Allergy SHOTs = Major ( LifeTime ) Time & $$ Commitment by Pet Parent / Begins after Skin Test Results / Require Pet Parent Administered Shots / Initially Require every other day Frequency / moving to Weekly / First Signs of Improvement 6-8 mo. / Truly Noticeable Improvement after 12 – 14 mo. / a likely Lifetime of Shots / 65% – 80% Success.

Option #4 ) Give your Dog a Healthy GOO Glow with www.DoggyGOO.com !

Itchy Allergy Sad Dog ?

Before Pharma / Allergy Shots .. Give Doggy GOO a Try and let your Dog tell you if Doggy GOO Works !

Doggy GOO = 100% Natural / DVM Dermatologist Formulated / Non-Prescription / Click & Order Convenience / Builds Tolerance to 3 Grass / 1 Tree / 4 Weed Pollens, 2 Dust Mites / 3 Molds & 2 Food / Storage Mites / Plus Prebiotic & Probiotic Levels for Gut Health / Balance > Pet Parents say Doggy GOO turns their Dog’s Allergies around in Approx. 90 Days > Producing first Signs of Skin & Coat Improvement after 3 Wks. > Substantial Abatement of Allergy Symptoms thru Month 2 / Conclusion thru Month 3 > WELL Levels as needed thereafter.

To Begin, GOOy CHEWy RELIEF’s WELL Daily Amount comes AFTER You have ( Hopefully) Successfully built Tolerance to your Enviro Allergy TroubleMakers to the extent that your Allergy Symptoms are Under Control, or ( dare we say ) Abated.

How long that this STRESSed / Tolerance building has been addressed in this Section’s FAQ How long Do I Maintain a daily STRESSed Amount of GOOy CHEWy RELIEF ?

With regard to the WELL Phase of GOOy CHEWy RELIEF’s Protocol, it is Important to Remember that Allergies are really Never “Cured” . Rather, GOOy CHEWy RELIEF’s Goal is to build Tolerance to your major Enviro Allergy TroubleMakers to the extent that your Allergy Symptoms are “Pushed” into Remission i.e. No Achoo .

Regarding the Statement “ Pushed into Remission”, Please find the following for your Consideration:

Because the Degree of Allergy Entrenchment varies with every Individual. And many Co-Factors come into play enhancing or diminishing the degree of Success toward building Tolerance in an Individual’s Allergy Fight, we can not offer ANY Guarantee of Success. But is certainly our Hope that by giving GOOy CHEWy RELIEF an honest Try, You may find a Lifetime Solution to Controlling your Allergies, and in doing so enhancing your Health Status and Quality of Life.

So….

How long do I maintain a WELL Amount of GOOy CHEWy RELIEF ?

Once you have (Hopefully) Successfully moved thru the STRESSed Phase of GOOy CHEWy RELIEF’s Protocol, it will be Necessary to Softly, yet Continually Challenge the Suppressed “Internal” Allergy Embers, to keep them from being Rekindled Back into an “External” Allergy Flame once again.

To this Goal, GOOy CHEWy has provided Guidance based on your Age. It is recommended that You begin with the Suggested Amount and proceed.

It is Important to know that this is a “Suggested Amount”. That, over time, it is quite likely that your Allergy Status may “Ebb & Flow” based on various Internal Health and External Environmental Influences. As such, it will be necessary for you to monitor your Allergy Status based on your Bodies FeedBack. Based on this FeedBack, You may be able to Decrease your Daily Amount. But, You may also have to Increase the daily amount if you sense that “Old Allergy Symptoms” are trying to begin to Emerge.

Think of the WELL Amount of GOOy CHEWy RELIEF as a Gas Peddle that you can Let Up On or Have to Push Down On based on the Degree of Symptoms that you are Experiencing in your “Life Traffic”.

Internal Influencers = Other Illnesses, Suppressed Immune System, Pharma consumption, Health / Balance of your MicroBiome, Age, Genetic Disposition.

External Influencers: Degree of overall Health / Fitness, Degree of Exercise, Diet, Quality of Sleep, Excessive Stress, Severity of Allergy Seasons, Geo-Region Allergy TroubleMaker Exposure.

Why is it Important to keep GOOy RELIEF & TUMMY Refrigerated ?

While Popping a GOOy or Two in your Purse, Brief Case, Back Pack or School Bag for the Day’s Consumption is OK, GOOy CHEWy feels that Refrigeration u n Arrival, and until Fully Consumed is the Best Measure that can be taken to keep GOOy’s Ingredients their Freshest.

How can I tell if GOOy CHEWy RELIEF is Helping Me.

This is a very good Question.

With Products such as GOOy CHEWy RELIEF, which are Supplements, it is Important to Understand that it’s Product / Health Focus is more Prevention Vs Treatment. Ad as a Supplement Vs a Drug, we can not claim to Cure, Diagnose or Mitigate any Disease.

When You look to Concrete Signs of Improvement You have:

  •        Reduction of Allergy Symptoms
  •        Reduction of Medications used to Manage Symptoms..
  •        Perhaps in cases where Allergic Asthma is present, a reduction in Medicine Levels.
  •        UnInterrupted Sleep
  •        Less Sinus Congestion / Headaches.
  •        Less Lethargic

As a general comment, with GOOy CHEWy RELIEF, it is our hope that while you still may be experiencing Allergy Symptoms / Complications, you may find that the Intensity / Duration and Frequency of these Symptoms is greatly lessened.

Why should I care about my Allergy ?

Today’s Allergy = Tomorrow’s Allergic Asthma ?

Allergy has long been considered by many Physicians to be no more than a nuisance, Swept under the Allergy Sufferer Care Rug, trivialized and “Treated” by Masking Symptoms ala Pharma on an as-needed basis .. Until Now !

Beginning at Birth, “UnNeutralized” Allergy Is a 24 / 7 / LifeTime Progressive, Cumulative, Chronic Inflammatory, Auto-Immune “Disease”.

Taking each Allergy Sufferer on a LifeTime Path of Allergy Med’s, which ONLY Mask Symptoms…

While each Sufferer’s Allergy Disease Continues / Exacerbates…

Leading a Sufferer on a LifeTime, Slippery Slope of multiple, “Allergy Driven” Diseases

( Allergic ASTHMA to Name One), recalcitrant Health Complications and compromised Quality of Life ( Achoo & Ouch !).

Allergies are prevalent throughout the U.S. and Increasing. Allergies are one of the most common health conditions, affecting 1 in 5 Americans. Allergies account for more than 17 million physician office visits, 30,000 emergency room visits, and several hundred deaths each year. Individuals with allergies are at heightened risk for other diseases, including Allergic Asthma.

The dynamic nature of allergies in the United States are a major public health concern, affecting the healthcare system, employers, and, indeed, patients.

Increasing evidence suggests that allergen sensitization is increasing with a disproportionate % and negative health effect on children. With further emerging evidence supporting the pattern of allergy progression known as the “Allergy March,” a well-documented phenomenon by which sensitization to foods early in life may heighten a child’s likelihood of developing more severe allergic disease, including Allergic Asthma, later in life.

Recent cross-sectional studies reveal a pattern of allergen sensitization consistent with the Allergy March, with high rates of food-allergen sensitization most commonly found in early

childhood and high rates of sensitization to other allergens occurring more frequently with age. To better control the Allergy March, more and more physicians consider evaluating patients with allergies to assess changes in allergen sensitization.

Do ALLERGIES “ Shape “ Negative Life Choices !

An important Negative Impact on Quality of Life pertains to the Life Choices, which a Sufferer makes to accommodate their Disease. Altered LifeStyle choices can have long-reaching effects which can lead to problems such as Avoidance of Exercise (resulting in Weight Gain & Weight Complications ), Low Self-Esteem, Shyness, Depression, Anxiety, Fearfullness, Poor Academic / Learning Performance, Social Interaction difficulties, Inability to participate in Sport activities.

For Example, Allergic Rhinitis in Children can result in significant nasal congestion, resulting in physical discomfort, and in some patients it may also interfere with both sleep quantity and quality. If sleep is adversely affected, then children are tired and irritable the next day. They may have trouble concentrating at school and at home, and their performance at school may suffer because of the fatigue. If school performance falters, it can result in problems with self-esteem, as well as possibly affecting advanced educational options at a later time. If young people have Allergic disease resulting in lower respiratory problems such as Asthma, their decreased respiratory capacity can slowly but subtly affect life choices they make, including decisions not to participate in school sports, particularly if the disease is not well controlled. This can make them feel like they’re different from their peers. Furthermore, it can contribute to a lack of exercise that has secondary effects such as increasing the risk of obesity, an ever-increasing problem among American children and adolescents.

Untreated or inadequately treated Allergic Disease can also result in significant fatigue in Adults. By interfering with the quality of sleep, adults can have more problems with drowsiness during the day, resulting in an inability to maintain focus at work or other activities. If Allergic disease interferes significantly with sleep, it can exacerbate sleep-disordered breathing. It is well known that nasal congestion is a contributing factor for obstructive sleep apnea, and that some patients who have sleep-disordered breathing will improve significantly with management of their nasal obstruction. If someone has sleep-disordered breathing, they may experience daytime somnolence and an increased risk for motor vehicle accidents. Untreated obstructive sleep apnea may also lead to decreased concentration and excessive sleepiness, and it may increase the risk for hypertension, myocardial infarction, stroke, and obesity. Finally, untreated Rhinitis in adults and children increases their risk for secondary infections, such as acute and chronic sinusitis, as well as otitis media.

Some Allergy Patients decide to just “Live with it,” they develop a “Perception Tolerance” to their chronic Allergy symptoms, in which they become used to a certain level of symptom.

Today’s 24/7 Society
Sleep Deprivation &Your Health ?

According to The Gallup Organization, 49% of adults in the United States do not sleep well for at least 5 nights a month, 10–40% have intermittent insomnia, and 10–15% have long-term sleep difficulties.

Adequate Sleep is crucial to proper brain function – no less so than Air, Water, and Food – but Stress and Health Issues i.e. Allergies can modify Sleep-wakefulness cycles.

Sleep is not just a time to get away from daily life, and it is not a time off. It is an active state that is important for renewing our mental and physical health each day. The body requires Water, Food and Sleep. Sleep is just as important as Water and Food for our Bodies. Several factors affect or can cause drowsiness. Our body has an internal clock which signals for us to be Sleepy twice a day; in the evening at bedtime and about twelve hours later during the –siesta” time of the afternoon. The sunlight and darkness cycle helps our body coordinate the internal clock with the external environment. Although each person’s Sleep needs and times vary, an average adult requires about eight hours of restful Sleep each night. If you do not get enough Sleep, you become Sleepy. The longer and the more prolonged the Sleep deprivation, the Sleepier a person is. This can affect your Mental as well as your Physical Health.

National Sleep Foundation, 40 % of Americans are so Drowsy during the Day that they can’t do their Work Effectively.

Sleep Deprivation is a common problem that affects the life and well-being of millions of Americans. Inadequate Sleep and widespread Sleep disruptions are contributing factors to the many problems and frustrations that have become part of the American way of life. The National Sleep Foundation’s 2002 Sleep in America poll found that 47 million adults may be putting themselves at risk for Injury, Health and Behavior Problems because they aren’t meeting their Minimum Sleep need.

Any amount of Sleep deprivation will diminish mental performance. Research has shown that even losing one or two hours of Sleep can impair your ability to drive. Excessive Sleepiness reduces your Alertness and Performance. It can affect your attention span and causes memory difficulties. Studies have found that being awake for 18 hours produced impairment equal to a blood alcohol concentration of .08, which is the legal limit for alcohol. After 24 hours of being awake, it jumps to 10.

NHTSA/VTTI study confirms that drowsy driving is a ‘Silent Killer’ ….Moderate or severe drowsiness was cited as a factor in 22-24% of the crashes and near-crashes, with cell phone use being the second most-cited factor at 7.2%, followed by reading at about 3%. In their conclusion, researchers note that drowsy driving “is a significant problem that increases a driver’s risk of a crash or near-crash by four to six times” and that it “may be significantly under reported in police crash investigations.”

Teenagers are especially at risk. Research indicates that teenagers need more Sleep than adults close to nine hours every night, on average. Yet, a survey of teens shows that only 15% actually get that amount of Sleep regularly. That means 85% of today’s teenagers are not getting enough Sleep. About 26% are only getting six or fewer hours of Sleep on good nights. Other pressures such as school and family including part-time jobs, family chores and schoolwork add stresses and constraints to a teenager’s Sleep schedule. In addition, teenagers are liable to give in to peer pressure and make poor decisions such as staying out late at night, smoking, drinking alcohol, and using drugs all of which could disrupt Sleep. Signs may include trouble concentrating, mood swings, hyperactivity or aggressive behavior.

There is increasing evidence that there is a very strong relationship between Sleep quality and physical and mental health. New studies are discovering just how vital Sleep is to overall Health. So, Sleep habits should become a standard part of a complete check-up, researchers say.

Archives of Internal Medicine: Patients with Allergic Rhinitis, such as that caused by Hay Fever and other Allergies, have more difficulty Sleeping and more Sleep disorders than those without Allergies. Allergies have been shown to affect Quality of Life and several studies have suggested that they may contribute to Snoring and Breathing problems during Sleep, including Sleep Apnea, a temporary halt to breathing.

Researchers evaluated 1,348 adults for the association between the risk of getting a stroke with Snoring, Sleep Duration, and Daytime Drowsiness. Even after taking classic risk factors into consideration – Age, Race, Gender, Cigarette Smoking, High Cholesterol, High Blood Pressure, Diabetes – the risk for Stroke was independently and significantly associated with Sleep factors.

The disordered breathing – and disrupted Sleep – associated with Snoring can lead to Attention-Deficits and Hyperactivity, Asthma and Allergies, as well as Aggression. Because these problems can adversely affect Academic performance, Snoring can be considered a serious threat to a child’s intellectual potential.

Patients with Allergic Rhinitis, such as that caused by hay fever and other allergies, have more difficulty Sleeping and more Sleep disorders than those without allergies.

Researchers have found a connection between Snoring and Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in some young Children. Twice as many ADHD children experienced frequent loud snoring, compared to the general population of children.

42% of those with Allergic Rhinitis vs. 18% of those without said they had difficulty falling Asleep.

Research by Warwick Medical School at the University of Warwick has found that Sleep Deprivation is associated with an almost a two-fold increased risk of being Obese for both children and adults. The Epidemic’ of Obesity is paralleled by a Silent Epidemic of reduced Sleep Duration with short Sleep duration linked to increased risk of Obesity both in Adults and in Children.

The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America found that 48% of Child Asthma Sufferers experienced disturbed sleep as a result of Asthma.

36% of people with Allergic Rhinitis reported Insomnia compared with 16% of those without.

Archives of Diseases in Children, Sleep disturbance was studied in children with nocturnal Asthma. Researchers found that children whose sleep was disturbed by nocturnal Asthma also exhibited signs of psychological problems and impaired performance in school. However, they also found that if treatment were given to improve the nocturnal symptoms and thus reduce sleep disturbance, improvement in mental function followed. This and other studies provide evidence that the effects of asthma on sleep and the possible psychological. Asthma is one of the leading causes of children missing school.

“There is increasing evidence that there is a very strong relationship between Sleep Quality and Physical and Mental Health, Insomnia and trouble Sleeping are most often associated with High Blood Pressure, Heart Failure, Anxiety and Depression. Instead of treating the insomnia itself, a health-care provider might be better off treating one of these comorbidities. Allergic Rhinitis, caused by Hay Fever and other Allergies, have more difficulty Sleeping and more Sleep disorders than people without allergies. Research results show a significant impact of Allergic Rhinitis / Allergies on ALL dimensions of Sleep Quality and, consequently, a lower Quality of Life as reflected by more somnolence [Sleepiness]; daytime Fatigue and Sleepiness; and impaired Memory, Mood and Sexuality, with a significantly increased consumption of Alcohol and Sedatives.

Institute of Medicine estimates 50 to 70 million Americans    already chronically suffer from a Disorder of Sleep and    Wakefulness. Reports confirm a link between Sleep Deprivation    and Sleep Disorders to a wide range of health consequences,    such as an increased risk of Hypertension, Diabetes, Obesity,    Depression, Heart Attack and Stroke.”

Journal Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Research finds that people with Perennial Allergies may attribute their daytime Fatigue to causes such as the Side Effects of Medications, when, in fact, the Fatigue may be a result of Nasal Congestion and associated Sleep Fragmentation.

People who have Sleep-related breathing disorder — marked by frequent pauses in breathing, labored breathing, or reduced breathing during the night — were two to 2.6 times more likely to develop Depression.

63% of allergic rhinitis sufferers said they felt like they weren’t getting enough Sleep compared with 25% of the controls.

Allergies have been shown to affect quality of life and several studies have suggested that they may contribute to snoring and breathing problems during Sleep, including Sleep apnea, a temporary halt to breathing.

All Sleep disorders and complaints–including insomnia, waking up during the night, snoring and feeling fatigued when awakening–were more common in those with allergic rhinitis, who also slept fewer hours, took longer to fall asleep and more often felt Sleepy during the day.

The effects of Allergic Rhinitis on Sleep became more pronounced when the condition was moderate to severe. As Allergies worsened, individuals slept fewer hours at night, felt Sleepy more often during the day, took longer to fall asleep and found it more necessary to take sedative drugs.

“Treating Allergic Rhinitis or other nasal symptoms may improve dramatically the Quality of Sleep. In the long term, such a strategy would have positive repercussions on a societal level; for example, the numbers of road and work accidents would be reduced. Considering the high incidence of Allergic Rhinitis and the high rate of associated Sleep Disorders, the issue is one of public health.”

Subjects’ Sleep is often interrupted with what we call MicroArousals. They don’t wake up during the night, however, they may complain of being tired as soon as they wake up. Suggesting that if these people can breathe easier at night, they have a less interrupted Sleep pattern.

Will GOOy Relief help my Allergic Asthma condition ?

Because RELIEF is a Nutraceutical Supplement and because it has not been Tested via a Double Blind / Placebo / $$$ Clinical Study to be FDA Approved as a Drug, it can Not Claim to or is RELIEF intended to Diagnose, Treat, Cure, or Prevent any Disease.

Further, GOOy CHEWy can not prove or say if it’s RELIEF Product has ANY positive or negative influence what so ever on the condition of Allergic Asthma, or for that matter building Tolerance to Enviro Allergy Sources.

But what we can say, is that we feel that because the majority of Diagnosed Asthma in the USA is Allergic Asthma, and because Allergy Asthma Attacks are strongly Driven / Triggered by the presence of Allergy to Enviro Allergy TroubleMakers ( it may be argued that Allergy & Allergic Asthma are distinct Disease Manifestations of the Same Disease Continuum ), that by building Tolerance to your Enviro Allergy TroubleMakers …

You “May” be able to …

What Triggers Allergic Asthma?

If you have allergic asthma, certain things called allergens can trigger your Asthma Symptoms. Dust mites, pet dander, and cockroaches are some of the most common allergic asthma triggers.

Dust Mites

Dust mites live in house dust. They are so small that you can only see them with a microscope. You may find them wherever dust gathers—like in your bedding, furniture, or carpeting. Dust mite droppings or body parts can trigger allergic asthma symptoms.

  •     []  Dust mite allergy is common
  •    [] Dust mites eat the skin cells shed by people and animals

[]  They only cause harm to people who are allergic to them

Pet Dander

Pet dander is the dead skin that is shed by pets such as cats and dogs. Pet dander may be anywhere. It easily sticks to surfaces, even walls. When it sticks to the clothes of friends and family with pets, it can be carried into your home.

  •    20% to 30% of people with asthma are triggered by pet dander
  •   Pet hair is not an allergen, but it can collect pet dander and other allergens
  •  About twice as many people have cat allergies than dog allergies

Cockroaches

Cockroaches can trigger allergic asthma with their saliva, body parts, and feces. They are usually found in warm, moist hiding places—such as basements and under the kitchen sink. They can be brought in with groceries, cardboard boxes, luggage, and furniture.

Between 23% and 60% of people with asthma in urban areas are triggered by cockroaches

When you see 1 cockroach in your home, as many as 800 may be hiding close by

Their diet includes people-foods, paint, newspapers, and cardboard

Allergic Asthma Vs Non-Allergic Asthma, Similar, yet very Different

Allergy Vs Cold Symptoms

Question: When is a Cold Not a Cold ?

Answer: When it is Allergies !

Check Your Symptoms
Symptoms of Allergies and Colds can be similar, but here’s how to tell the difference:
Colds

Allergies

Occurrence of symptoms: Symptoms often appear one at a time: first sneezing, then a runny nose, then congestion. Symptoms occur all at once.
Duration of symptoms: Generally last from seven to 10 days. Continue as long as a person is exposed to the allergy-causing agent (allergen).
Mucus: Often a yellowish nasal discharge, due to an infection. Generally a clear, thin, watery discharge.
Sneezing: Less common than with allergies. More common than with colds, especially when sneezing occurs two or three times in a row.
Time of year: More common during winter. More common in spring through fall, when plants are pollinating.
Fever: May be accompanied by a fever. Not usually associated with a fever.

Allergies

Flu/Cold

Symptoms Allergies usually cause runny nose (clear discharge), stuffed nose, violent sneezing, wheezing, coughing, watery and itchy eyes. Flu/cold usually includes runny nose (yellow discharge), aches and pains, sore and scratchy throat along with sneezing and coughing.
Fever There is no fever with allergies. If you have a fever it is almost certainly a flu/cold rather than allergies.
When Anytime of the year: spring, summer, fall or winter. Usually appear in winter, but are also possible in the fall, spring or summer.
Warning Symptoms begin almost immediately after exposure to allergens. Usually takes a few days for flu/cold symptoms to appear.
Duration Symptoms last a long time, as long you are exposed to the allergen. If the allergen is present all year long, symptoms can be chronic. Flu/cold symptoms should clear up within a few days to a week. Rarely lasts more than 10 days.

Flu/Colds

A flu/cold is commonly caused by a virus. You can get a flu/cold from another person that has that virus, even though you may be in good health. This happens when you breathe in germs or come in direct contact with the infected person. To prevent yourself from getting a flu/cold, get a flu shot every year, frequently wash your hands, use a disinfectant on and be careful when sneezing and coughing around others.

Let a flu/cold run its course. Get rest, drink lots of fluids and eat healthy foods. Over-the-counter medications, like an decongestant or a nasal sprays, can help relieve your symptoms, but they do not cure your cold – only time can do that.

Allergies

Nasal allergies occur during exposure to an allergen, and your nasal cavity becomes irritated and inflamed. Unlike the flu/cold, allergies are not contagious. If you have a high temperature or an achy body, it is most likely a flu/cold rather than allergies. Common indoor and outdoor allergens include tree, grass and weed pollen, dust mites, animal dander, mold and cockroaches.

There is no cure for allergies, but there are prescription and over-the-counter medications treat allergy symptoms. For some people, building tolerance can help to reduce your sensitivity to allergens over time.

What is an Allergy ?

One of the marvels of the human body is that it can defend itself against harmful invaders such as viruses or bacteria. In some people, the body reacts to harmless substances such as dust, mold or pollen by producing an antibody called immunoglobulin E (IgE). When patients with one of the allergic diseases (such as rhinitis or asthma) are exposed to these substances, the immune system then rallies its defenses, launching a host of complex chemical weapons to attack and destroy the supposed enemy. In the process, some unpleasant and, in extreme cases, life-threatening symptoms may be experienced.

What causes an Allergic Reaction ?

Hundreds or even thousands of ordinary substances can trigger allergic reactions. These are called “allergens.” Among the most common are plant pollens, molds, household dust (dust mites), animal dander, industrial chemicals, foods, medicines and insect stings.

An allergic reaction may occur anywhere in the body, but usually appears in the skin, eyes, lining of the stomach, nose, sinuses, throat and lungs — places where special immune system cells are stationed to fight off invaders that are inhaled, swallowed or come in contact with the skin.

Who develops Allergies? Are they Inherited ?

Allergies can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, race or socioeconomic status. While it’s true that allergies are more common in children, they can occur for the first time at any age or, in some cases, recur after many years of remission.

Although the exact genetic factors are not yet understood, the tendency to allergies, as well as to allergic disease, is linked to heredity.

But — if you have allergies, that doesn’t mean your child is definitely going to have them too. But genetics does play a role. If you have allergies, there’s a 50% chance your child will. And if your spouse is also allergic, the chance your child will be too jumps to close to 75%.

Still, experts believe other factors come into play as well, like air pollution, respiratory infections, even diet and emotional makeup.

What are some of the major Signs of Allergy in our young Children ?

In small children who cannot describe symptoms, some other common signs that allergies are interfering with health are:

  • · The “Allergic Salute”, where a child rubs the base of his nose up & down with a palm, due to itching and irritation of the nasal passages
  • · Allergic “Shiners”, which are dark circles under the eyes, commonly associated with lack of sleep in adults

An infant might also be generally cranky, irritable and difficult to pacify in your usual manner.

The term “Allergy March” describes a sequence of Multi Diseases that are often the direct result of the Presence / Cumulative Progression of Allergy.

ALLERGY March = Allergy / Allergic Asthma Parents > Birth > Eczema ( Food Allergy ) > Colic Baby ( Food Allergy ) > Ear Issues Baby ( Allergy transition from Food to Respiratory ) > Wheezing Child > A Child “Always” with a Cold ( its Allergies ) >   Allergic Rhinitis > Likelihood of Allergic Asthma.

Should You see these signs in your Child, a simple IgE Allergy Blood Test will be a strong indication if Allergy March has begun in your Child.

What are some of the most common Environmental Allergens for Kids ?

Generally, it depends on the age of the child. If we’re talking about infants and toddlers, there are a smaller number of allergy triggers. When you’re talking about older children, school-age and above, then it pretty much mimics adults. So for children ages one to five, the most common allergens are dust mites, pets, indoor and outdoor mold spores and outdoor pollens.

And if we’re talking about our major Metropolitan / Dense City Population Children, Cockroaches and Mice can be a major factor too.

Studies finds 65 to 75 percent of asthmatic adults have an allergy

– Asthma is becoming an epidemic in the United States. The number of Americans diagnosed with asthma grows annually, with 26 million currently affected. And according to a new study, nearly two-thirds or more of all asthmatics also have an allergy, which can make this spring season particularly bothersome.

The study, which is published in the April issue of Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, the scientific journal of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI), found that an astonishing 75 percent of asthmatic adults aged 20- to 40-years-old, and 65 percent of asthmatic adults aged 55 years and older, have at least one allergy.

“Allergists have known the prevalence of allergies among asthmatic children is high at 60 to 80 percent, but it was thought allergies were not as common in asthmatic adults. These findings are important, and can help lead to proper diagnosis and treatment.”

A total of 2,573 adults were studied in a National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). A panel of 19 allergens was used to detect allergy among asthmatics.

While asthma is frequently associated with children, it is not uncommon among adults 60 years and older, affecting three to seven percent. This number is likely higher, however, because asthma is often underdiagnosed in older adults.

Both asthma and allergies can strike at any age, and are serious diseases. Anyone who thinks they may be having symptoms of an allergy or asthma should see their Physician.

According to the ACAAI, more than 50 million Americans have an allergy, a number which is also on the rise.

Is their link between asthma and allergies a reason ?

Quite possibly, it could be one of many creating this perfect storm for allergies. Other factors, such as the hygiene hypothesis, climate change and an increase in awareness and education can also be reasons for this growth.”

What is Allergy Hay Fever ?

Hay fever is the common name for seasonal allergic rhinitis, a condition characterized by an allergic reaction to plant pollen, causing inflammation of the sinuses, affecting the nose, eyes, and airways often at the same time. Symptoms include sneezing, a blocked or runny nose, itchy, swollen eyes, and irritation of the roof of the mouth, throat and deep in the ears. Hay fever can even result in breathing difficulties, which can have serious consequences for large numbers of people (up to 40%) who also suffer from asthma. As well as aggravating people who already have asthma, hay fever can also triple the likelihood of people developing asthma.

At least 1 in 4 people have hay fever, equating to over 16 million people. Furthermore, the vast majority of sufferers have ‘serious’ hay fever, as defined by moderate-to-severe symptoms. New research conducted among 2,000 hay fever sufferers demonstrated that as many as 77% report moderate-to-severe symptoms.

In a separate study, published by the journal Allergy, this was as high as 84%, although doctors reported a far lower figure of only 57%, demonstrating how underestimated the severity of hay fever symptoms are.

How does Allergy Hay Fever affect your Quality of Life ?

 24 / 7 / 365

Allergies just Run You down.

How does Allergy Hay Fever affect your Quality of Life ?

HAY FEVER SUFFERERS ARE UP TO FOUR TIMES MORE LIKELY TO SUFFER FROM OTHER CONDITIONS INCLUDING ASTHMA, EAR INFECTIONS, SINUSITIS, ECZEMA, FOOD AND INSECT BITE ALLERGIES, AS WELL AS MIGRAINES AND DEPRESSION.

Hay fever can not only ruin an important weekend, but for many people, it can disrupt an entire summer, with symptoms lasting for weeks at a time, occurring throughout the ‘hay fever season’. Hay fever can impact quality of life by causing fatigue, hearing and learning impairment, sleep disruption and serious respiratory conditions such as sleep apnoea.

Furthermore, hay fever sufferers are up to four times more likely to suffer from other conditions including asthma, ear infections, sinusitis, eczema, food and insect bite allergies, as well as migraines and depression.

Several areas of research have demonstrated the profound impact hay fever can have on quality of life:

  • SLEEPING: When surveyed, 50% of sufferers reported that their hay fever had some impact on their sleep patterns in the previous month.

  • SOCIAL LIFE: Many sufferers find that their everyday activities are negatively affected by hay fever. For example, 37% reported that their social lives are affected due to having to stay indoors.5 Other activities, such as exercise (30%) and spending quality time with the family (22%) are also negatively affected by hay fever symptoms.

  • EMOTIONAL WELLBEING: Hay fever can impact people’s emotions, as over half of sufferers reported that they feel frustrated and irritable and 51% said that they feel sluggish and slow.

  • SELF-ESTEEM: Hay fever can damage people’s self-esteem, particularly women, with 32% stating it makes them feel unattractive compared to 14% of men. People aged 16-24 were particularly affected, with 41% saying hay fever made them feel unattractive. This can be attributed to symptoms such as swollen eyes and a red runny nose

How can Allergy Hay Fever impact your Education or Career ?

Research has shown that as a result of ‘serious’ moderate-to-severe hay fever symptoms, sufferers reported four days off work per year and a noticeable impact on productivity thirty-eight days per year. Furthermore, impaired quality of work has been directly associated with high grass-pollen counts.

The impact on examination performance is also significant. GCSE students with hay

fever symptoms are 40% more likely to drop a grade than those without. They are also 70% more likely to drop a grade if they take sedating antihistamines at the time of their examinations, demonstrating the importance of patients receiving a treatment that suits their specific needs and lifestyle.

New research has supported these findings, with as many as 40% of sufferers reporting that they struggle to concentrate properly when experiencing hay fever symptoms.

Asthma and Hay Fever: A Clear and present Danger.

How dangerous is asthma and hay fever?

Like hay fever, asthma is a common long-term inflammatory condition. Asthma affects 1 in every 12 adults and 1 in every 11 children.

Hay fever is almost a certainty for people with asthma, with studies showing that up to 80% of people with asthma also have hay fever, and a 100% certainty for those with allergic asthma. In addition, up to 40% of patients with hay fever have or will develop asthma.

AT PRESENT, RHINITIS IS NOT WIDELY RECOGNIZED AS THE IMPORTANT CAUSE OF POOR ASTHMA CONTROL. IN MY CLINICS, TOO MANY ASTHMA PATIENTS ARE STILL MENTIONING THAT NOBODY HAS EVER EXAMINED OR ENQUIRED ABOUT THEIR NASAL SYMPTOMS BEFORE, AND THIS OMISSION IS A KEY FACTOR IN SUBOPTIMAL RHINITIS AND ASTHMA MANAGEMENT.

Every day, 100’s of people are hospitalized because of their asthma, many of which will die. While evidence demonstrates that the majority of these people will also have hay fever or allergic rhinitis, hospital data do not reliably document whether admissions of asthma attacks/complications were a result of allergic rhinitis.

Despite this lack of accurate recording, the link between hay fever and asthma is well established. It has been proven that for people with asthma, the presence of hay fever is associated with an increased likelihood of asthma-related hospital admissions and emergency visits.

Furthermore, it is well established that people with asthma and hay fever are less able to control their asthma, representing additional costs beyond the treatment of hay fever.

Put simply, hay fever could be the root cause of thousands of asthma-related hospitalizations and hundreds of asthma- related deaths every year. Yet the majority of hay fever cases remain uncontrolled and many patients inadequately self-treat their hay fever, even when suffering moderate-to- severe symptoms.

In addition, there is accumulating evidence that allergic rhinitis precedes the onset

of asthmatic symptoms and that the progression from allergic rhinitis to asthma is increasingly common.

With an ever increasing number of people being diagnosed with hay fever, it is

therefore highly likely that the number of episodes of severe hay fever, leading to asthma-related hospitalizations, will increase significantly, resulting in even greater danger to patients and an ever greater burden on healthcare resources

HAY FEVER COULD BE THE ROOT CAUSE OF THOUSANDS OF ASTHMA-RELATED HOSPITALISATIONS AND HUNDREDS OF ASTHMA-RELATED DEATHS EVERY YEAR

Allergies > Asthma : One Airway, One Disease.

Recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO) ‘Allergic Rhinitis and its Impact on Asthma’ (ARIA) workshop, published over 12 years ago in 2001, suggested a new classification of allergic rhinitis, based on the presence of asthma and the frequency and severity of symptoms. The ARIA guidelines, subsequently incorporated into the UK British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (BSACI) guidelines, which aimed at improving the management of ‘one airway, one disease’, recommend that all asthma patients are evaluated for hay fever/allergic rhinitis and that in planning treatment, both conditions should be considered together.

However, new research suggests that thousands of people suffering from both hay fever and asthma are not being treated according to the guidelines, which could lead to exacerbations and, in the most extreme cases, hospitalization.

This research demonstrates that 63% of people with hay fever and asthma are not being treated according to the guidance, based on a total of 41% who had never had a dedicated consultation to discuss hay fever and asthma symptoms together and a further 22% of sufferers who had never discussed both conditions at the same time in a consultation, even if it had come up (22%).

Evidence demonstrates that effectively treating allergic rhinitis results in a lowered risk of asthma-related hospitalizations and emergency visits. Based on the wealth of research explored in this report, the ‘one airway, one disease’ approach to managing hay fever, based on improving consultations with patients on treatment decisions, should be considered and implemented by all healthcare professionals. The clear links between hay fever and asthma can no longer be underestimated and practice must change to meet this ever growing challenge.

Symptoms of Allergy ?

Itchy nose, congestion and sneezing are common symptoms of allergic rhinitis. Watery, itchy eyes often accompany nasal symptoms, indicating allergic conjunctivitis. Wearing contact lenses may trap airborne allergens and worsen this condition. Although symptoms are triggered by specific allergens initially, once the mucosa is sensitized, many irritants including smoke, air pollution, scents, and cleaning products can also trigger or prolong symptoms.

Symptoms

  • Ear, nose, throat, and sinus congestion
  • Hoarseness, coughing
  • Runny nose, congestion
  • Decreased sense of smell
  • Sneezing
  • Sore throat, post nasal drip
  • Serous otitis media and hearing loss
  • Snoring and/or worsening of sleep apnea
  • Watery, itchy, or red eyes
  • Coughing, shortness of breath, wheezing
  • Halitosis
  • Headache or sinus pressure
  • General malaise
  • Fatigue or irritability
  • Poor mental concentration, impaired learning

Signs of Allergy

  • “Allergic shiners¨ or dark circles around the eyes due to vascular congestion related to allergic rhinitis
  • Nasal crease is horizontal across lower half of the nose and caused by repeated rubbing (the “allergic salute”)
  • Nasal turbinates are swollen, pale, boggy or bluish
  • Nasal secretions are clear and filled with eosinophils
  • Nasal septum perforation may indicate other pathology, including cocaine abuse, misapplication of topical medications, or granulomatous disease (Wegener’s)
  • Nasal obstruction may be due to polyps, tumors, septal deviation, turbinate edema or foreign bodies
  • Discolored mucous may indicate infection including sinusitis
  • Lungs: check for signs of asthma, a known co-morbidity
  • Skin: evidence of atopic dermatitis often associated with respiratory allergy
  • Examine neck for thyroid disease which could be associated with nasal congestion

The Basics of PET Allergy

We love our pets, and they love us. Over half of all homes in the U.S. have a cat or dog, accounting for 100 million pets. A dog or cat quickly becomes a member of the family, and unfortunately, many allergic animal lovers find themselves facing the daily discomfort of persistent allergy symptoms.

About 5-10% of Americans are allergic to pet allergens. The most sensitive individuals may suffer greatly from the slightest exposure to animal dander, and reactions to cat dander can be particularly explosive. But homes aren’t the only high-dander environments.

Sensitive individuals may display reactions at work and other public places due to the presence of pet dander. Reactions may occur at home, in hotel rooms and friends’ homes, even if a pet is not present at the time. Where pets are in residence, dander will concentrate in local reservoirs such as curtains, upholstery, rugs, clothing, bedding and air ducts, which are constant sources of allergen, even when the pets and their families have moved on to a new home.

Interestingly, dander may be inadvertently transported by pet owners to animal-free locations. In these instances, exposure is often indirect (allergen in ventilation systems, or dander attached to people).

Continuous exposure may lead to the mysterious onset of allergy symptoms without an obvious cause. And worse, untreated animal dander allergy may silently trigger difficult-to-manage asthma, allergic sinusitis or allergic rhinitis.

Who’s at Risk ?

Heredity plays a key role, as pet allergy often runs in families. If either parent suffers from pet allergies, the chance of a child developing the condition significantly increases. If both parents are allergic, the risk of a child developing an allergy can occur in up to 80% of their offspring.

What does “Dander” mean?

Most people believe airborne pet fur/hair causes allergy symptoms, which is not actually the case. Airborne saliva and urine-derived proteins are a major source of pet allergen.

Sebaceous glands in the skin also produce these protein allergens. Male cats and dogs have greater amounts of secretion and are often more allergenic than females or neutered males.

Desquamated epithelium (shed upper layer of skin) and saliva are rich in water-soluble protein, which causes allergic reactions. Pet hair alone has little water-soluble protein, with the exception of deposited saliva, which occurs when a pet licks its fur.

While the fur/hair may be coated with allergen proteins deposited from dried saliva, the airborne microscopic flakes of animal dander from the skin remain the major source of pet allergen.

How Dander gets to you ?

Pet dander can cause allergy symptoms through indirect contact (airborne allergen inhaled into the nose and lungs) or by transfer of the dander directly to nasal and/or ocular mucosa by direct contact with pet allergen from contaminated hands or clothing.

Pet allergens can remain in a home for up to six months or more after a pet has been removed. Lower levels of animal dander allergen can even persist for years because of urine contamination (soaked into carpets, furniture, and floors), or dander in hidden areas (air ducts, basements, attics, and in and around furniture, closets and appliances).

Low levels of allergen may even be present as a result of a pet owned by a previous occupant of a dwelling, or furniture. Further, pet allergen may travel into your home or office on pet owners’ clothes or hair.

Common heating or air conditioning systems in apartment buildings may allow pet allergens present in one apartment to contaminate a nearby pet-free apartment via air ducts. Pet-dander-contaminated classrooms, offices, and mass transit are common sources of indirect exposure.

What about hypoallergenic pets?

There isn’t much scientific evidence in medical literature to suggest that any dog or cat currently available is non-allergenic. As long as cats and dogs have allergen proteins in their skin, saliva, blood and urine, exposure can aggravate allergies.

Nevertheless, small dogs that lack a winter or second coat (terriers, poodles and some hybrid breeds) and shed less dander may offer reduced allergen exposure. Also, a recently developed hypoallergenic cat (for about $5000) may offer a better-tolerated hypoallergenic alternative.

“Hypoallergenic” indicates less or lowered capacity to cause allergy. However, until scientific evidence confirms the presence of low specific-pet allergen production, labeling an animal as “hypoallergenic” is not necessarily helpful or accurate.

While certain cat breeds may produce fewer potent allergens—such as the Siberian and Russian Blue—a cat or dog with low allergenicity can still provoke serious allergy symptoms in a highly-sensitive individual.

Does pet allergy fade?

Allergy to household pets can either diminish or increase over time. For example, when college students return home after a long absence, they may experience a flare of allergy symptoms following re-exposure to their pets. Living with a cat or dog can, over time, lead to some desensitization or just the opposite effect—increased sensitivity to shed allergens. Unfortunately, this process is entirely unpredictable.

Cat allergy explained.

The major cat allergen is Fel d 1, found in saliva, blood albumen, urine, dander, and sebaceous gland excretions.Cat allergy is more common than dog allergy and generally more severe. In fact, cat hypersensitivity can effect up to 25% of all allergy sufferers.

Feline allergens are produced in large amounts, particularly from male non-neutered cats. The dander is extremely light in weight, small in size, constantly mobile, very sticky, and carried far and wide by pet owners.

Dog allergy explained.

Dog dander is rich in Can f 1 or Can f 2 allergens (the Can f 1 allergen is higher in non-neutered males). Dogs with a second winter coat (for example, large working dogs) may cause more indoor hair pollution than short-haired, single-coat dogs such as terriers or poodles. Mixed-breed or hybrid small dogs may have even less hair, producing less indoor contamination.

However, there is no such thing as a non-allergenic dog, and even a “hypoallergenic” breed is a serious health risk to highly sensitive patients. Washing your dog once or twice a week, cleaning your dog / wiping down the coat with a damp microfiber cloth may diminish dander concentration.

Symptoms of pet allergy.

Some pet owners will have sudden and dramatic symptoms when exposed to cats or dogs, while others suffer from persistent low-grade symptoms that only clear up after days or weeks away from their homes.

Highly sensitive individuals may have trouble controlling symptoms, even with comprehensive medical treatment. Chronic exposure to pet dander among allergy sufferers can lead to worsening of sinusitis, asthma, nasal allergy, eye allergy, sleep apnea and snoring, eczema and contact hives.

Exposure to cat or dog dander may worsen other allergic reactions, even seasonal allergy. For example, exposure to a cat or dog during the winter may worsen spring and fall seasonal allergy symptoms, as the immune system may be “primed” or activated due to year-round allergen exposure. Some individuals originally allergic to pets, may, over time, become “immune” or desensitized to dander from their own pets. However, in others, allergic reactions to one’s pet can worsen over time.

So what is Sinusitis ?

Although many individuals interpret sinusitis to mean “sinus infection,” sinusitis actually means inflammation of the sinus mucus membranes, which may be due to infection, allergy, inflammation or obstruction of the sinuses due to a number of reasons.

The term sinusitis is also used by individuals and the media to indicate symptoms of pressure or discomfort over parts of the face. These symptoms are typical of a “bad cold” or severe allergy symptoms that may be associated with nasal congestion, post-nasal drip, throat clearing, headaches, or sinus pressure.

From a medical standpoint, sinusitis simply means inflammation of the sinuses, or more precisely, inflammation of the mucosal tissues lining the sinuses. Sinus inflammation can be caused by infection, allergy and many other factors.

Varied symptoms of sinusitis

Symptoms of chronic sinusitis can vary depending on the degree and location of inflammation in the sinuses. Contrary to popular belief, headache is not the most common characteristic of chronic sinusitis. The most frequent complaint related to chronic sinusitis is nasal congestion with or without post-nasal drip.

Chronically infected sinuses are typically filled with thick or dried secretions. Secretions may or may not drain easily, thus obstructing the nasal passageway. Other symptoms include sensitive facial fullness and loss of smell. One may experience fatigue, poor concentration, decreased productivity, and even depression.

Headaches—particularly migraines—are at times erroneously attributed to sinusitis. Nasal/sinus allergy, chronic sinus disease and migraines can all be triggered by changes in the weather and barometric pressure. Therefore, a history of weather-induced headaches may obscure the distinction between nasal allergy, migraines and sinusitis. To further complicate matters, up to 1/3 of individuals with upper respiratory allergies also have migraines.

Which diseases mimic sinusitis?

Many factors can play a role in either causing sinus disease or mimicking the symptoms of sinusitis.

Allergic inflammation of the sinus mucosa can cause swelling and may lead to obstruction, decreased ciliary activity, and increased production of thick, tenacious mucus. The end result: interference with the normal cleansing function of free mucus passage through the sinus and nasal cavity.

What’s the connection between allergy and sinusitis?

Allergies are caused by an abnormal immune response to allergen exposure (pollen, animal dander, dust mites, molds, etc.).Allergic inflammation can occur anywhere along the respiratory tract—especially in the mucus-lined nasal and sinus passageways.

Allergic inflammation of the sinus tissue can interfere with the normal clearing of resident bacteria within the sinus cavities, often leading to infection. Under these circumstances, respiratory allergy can trigger repeated sinus infections. Since chronic sinusitis may originate from both allergy and infection, both of these underlying factors should be carefully evaluated and treated for effective disease management.

Long-term effects of sinusitis

Even if the underlying trigger of chronic sinusitis is indeed allergy, the presence of a secondary infection must also be treated effectively. Allergy-induced, chronic sinusitis due to and related to repeated sinus infections can lead to significant and permanent alteration of the sinus mucosa and surrounding structures. Once significant damage occurs, full restoration of normal function of the sinus cavities may not be entirely possible, even with surgery.

Complications of sinusitis

A delay in identifying and treating an underlying allergic component of chronic sinus disease can lead to years of unnecessary suffering and may result in serious complications associated with sinusitis.

What happens when allergy and sinusitis coexist

With so many causes of sinusitis, the role of allergy is often overlooked and under treated. If antibiotic treatment fails to improve chronic sinusitis, a thorough allergy and immunology evaluation is clearly warranted early in the investigation.

Unfortunately, many individuals who have had longstanding sinus disease (with or without nasal polyps) and even those who have had one or more surgeries may never seek an evaluation from an allergist. So they continue to live with their symptoms. With upper respiratory allergies present in up to 20% of Americans, it is not uncommon to have both allergic rhinitis and sinus disease. Some studies have shown the presence of both diseases in the same individual to be as high as 70%.

Of all the predisposing causes of sinus disease, underlying allergy may be the trigger most responsive to treatment. Therefore, treating underlying nasal allergies will always decrease the risk for sinus infections. Evidence of allergy on physical exam may be helpful (allergic shiners, swollen turbinates, eosinophils in mucus). Also, a history of prior respiratory allergy or atopic dermatitis may help identify risk factors.

Why Do Some People Develop Allergies as Adults?

All in the Family

Allergies are largely genetic. If a parent has allergies, chances are good the children will too. But that doesn’t necessarily mean there will be symptoms. What is inherited is an immune system that is predisposed to allergic reactions. And sometimes the symptoms don’t emerge until later in life, when exposure to allergens, such as pollen, dust mites or mold, build up over time and reach a critical mass.

A study of college freshmen who tested positive for the presence of immunoglobulin E, a type of antibody generally associated with allergies, but showed no symptoms. The subjects were checked twice more during their lives.

“Within their college career, about 20% of the students developed some allergies,” When the researchers checked the subjects again 20 years later, they found that 40% had allergies. The conclusion: It takes environmental exposure for people to develop full-blown allergies, even if they are genetically predisposed.

Come and Go

Specialists say many factors can trigger the onset of allergies in adults, including high levels of pollution exposure, moving to a home that has mold, adopting a pet or working in a setting where lots of allergens are present. Hormonal changes that come with pregnancy and menopause can also bring on allergies, he says. And in the process of aging, the body’s immune system might become more sensitized, which can bring on allergies. Even some viruses that can trigger allergies.

What Is Allergic Asthma?

You may not be surprised to hear that about 25 million people in the U.S. have asthma. But did you know that about 60% of those people have allergic asthma? For those whose asthma is moderate to severe and uncontrolled, getting the right diagnosis can be hard. This is because people with allergic asthma don’t always realize their asthma is triggered by allergens. They simply think they have asthma and allergies.

The symptoms of Asthma and Allergic Asthma are the same.

Asthma is a chronic condition with inflammation and narrowing of the airways, as well as tightening of the muscles around the airways. This can lead to wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing. Allergic asthma is a type of asthma. So, if you have allergic asthma, you may experience these symptoms.

With Allergic Asthma, it’s the Triggers that are different.

All Asthma Attacks and Symptoms are Triggered by “Something”. In the case of allergic asthma, these symptoms are brought on by exposure to allergens in the air, including pet dander, dust mites, and cockroaches.

How do Triggers impact Allergic Asthma?

If you have Allergic Asthma, Allergens like pet dander, dust mites, and cockroaches can trigger your asthma symptoms and attacks.

  •      When an allergen enters your body, your immune system identifies it as something harmful
  •      Your immune system responds by releasing a substance called immunoglobulin E (or IgE)
  •      IgE plays a key role in your allergic asthma. It works by binding to allergens, which causes the release of chemicals that can lead to inflammation (swelling) in and around the lungs. This can trigger an asthma attack.

People with allergic asthma may have higher levels of IgE because of the way their immune system reacts to allergens. For some, blocking IgE has been shown to be a helpful part of their allergic asthma treatment plan. If you think you may have Allergic Asthma, ask your doctor about how much IgE is in your body.

What Is Allergic Asthma ?

What Physiological Reactions are typical of Aero-Enviro Allergy ?

Allergies are physiological reactions caused when the immune system reacts to a specific foreign substance (allergen), such as pollen or mold spores. Many trees, grasses and weeds contain small and light pollen that are easily carried by the wind, causing allergy symptoms to flare up.

The human body is designed to ward off detrimental “enemies,” such as viruses or bacteria, but in some instances it defends itself against relatively harmless substances such as pollen and dust. The immune system protects itself by releasing or producing certain chemicals called histamines, cytokines and leukotrienes, which tend to support what the system is trying to accomplish overall (i.e., neutralizing the foreign substancer) but in the process creating unpleasant (or in extreme cases, life-threatening) reactions in the allergic person.

Reactions could be:

  • Nasal stuffiness, sneezing, nasal itching, nasal discharge, itching in the ears and roof of mouth (rhinitis)
  • Red, itchy, watery eyes (allergic conjunctivitis)
  • Red, itchy, dry skin (atopic dermatitis)
  • Hives or itchy welts (urticaria)
  • Itchy rash (contact dermatitis)
  • Shortness of breath, coughing and wheezing (asthma)

Can Allergies can start to develop during Pregnancy ?

Could a Woman’s health habits during pregnancy give her Baby Food / Enviro Allergies?

  • ·      Research shows they start to develop before a baby is born.
  • ·      Allergies can start to develop during pregnancy, new study shows
  • ·      Research done by Murdoch Children’s Research Institute in Melbourne
  • ·      Findings will help identify how mothers’ behaviour during pregnancy modify the way their babies ‘ genes behave

Allergies can start to develop before babies are born and may be influenced by their mother’s behaviour while she is pregnant, new research shows.

For the first time ever the study by the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute in Melbourne showed key differences in the blood samples of babies who have food allergies and babies who don’t, which could provide vital clues to identifying the cause of allergies.

Report author Dr David Martino said when he compared the blood samples of 12-month-old babies he found the samples from infants with allergies had molecular pathways that operated differently.

Allergies can start to develop in babies during pregnancy, new research shows

‘We actually looked at the molecular switches that control how genes are expressed and we found that there was an association with food allergy and disruption in some of these switches,’ Dr Martino told Daily Mail Australia.

The researchers then examined blood samples taken from the allergic children at birth, and found that the majority of the children showed these molecular differences were present when they were born.

‘This means we think that some of the predisposition to developing food allergies may be already programmed into the developing child as early as pregnancy,’ Dr Martino said.

He added that this finding would help researchers investigate what mothers are exposed to during pregnancy, and how certain factors can modify the way their babies’ genes behave.

Blood samples from infants with allergies showed molecular pathways that operated differently to babies who are allergy free.

Report co-author Katie Allen told The Today Show:

‘We want to look to see whether there are some factors that occur in the baby in utero that we can modify simply before the baby is born.

http://www.jump-in.com.au/show/today/videos/3666971915001/

‘What we’ll be looking at are things like diet and weight and smoking to see if we modify those whether that changes the control of the genes and therefore the risk of the baby developing food or Enviro allergy.’

Food allergies are on the rise globally and Australia has one of the highest rates in the world.

The study looked at 24 children in total and will now be conducted on a wider scale with 5300 babies.

Most of the allergic children studied were allergic to egg, and some were allergic to peanuts.

Allergy March begins with FOOD Allergy and migrates to Respiratory / Aero-Enviro Allergies and possibly Allergic Asthma.

Allergy March = Allergy / Allergic Asthma Parents > Pregnancy / Birth > Eczema ( Food Allergy ) > Colic ( Food Allergy ) > Ear Issues ( Moving to Respiratory Allergy ) > Wheezing Baby > Child always with Cold > Rhinitis Child > Allergic Asthma.

While there may be No Cure for Allergic Asthma .. Perhaps it Can be Prevented …

Exercise-Induced Asthma ?

Exercise-induced asthma or bronchospasm (EIA or EIB), can be present in more than 33% of those with Seasonal Allergies and in up to 90% of those with Chronic Asthma.

With EIA, coughing, chest tightness, shortness of breath and/or wheezing generally occur within three to eight minutes of strenuous exercise.

Low stress exercise, such as walking, jogging and golf, or fitness involving short bursts, such as biking, baseball, football, volleyball and weight training, tend to be better tolerated by those who have EIA. Swimming is also a good option because of the humid, warm conditions. Less optimal choices include soccer, long-distance running and basketball, due to their prolonged and intense activity level.

Some of the key elements for successful exercising with asthma are: an adequate warm-up and cool down; avoiding strenuous outdoor fitness at high risk times, including days with an ozone alert, high pollen count or cold, dry weather conditions; and pre-treatment prior to exercise with a prescription “rescue” inhaler.

Allergy Overview

Allergies

SCIENCE is yet to exactly and fully understand why the immune system of certain individuals over-react to particular substances that they take in, such as food or medication, or come into contact with, such as cigarette smoke or dust.

An allergy is a chronic condition involving an abnormal reaction to an ordinarily harmless substance called an allergen.

If a person had an allergy, his immune system views the allergen as an invader or threat and a chain reaction is initiated, it explained. The immune system’s white blood cells produce IgE antibodies — these attach themselves to special cells, causing a release of potent chemicals like histamine.

An allergy is an “exaggerated response” of the immune system to allergens, which are substances that are “foreign” to the body and can cause an allergic reaction.

An individual can become allergic to certain substances or may develop allergic reactions at any point in his life, but almost always outgrows allergies eventually.

Aside from the environment, a person’s family history (genetic predisposition) contributes significantly to developing allergic conditions. A person whose parents or siblings have history of allergic conditions has a risk of developing similar allergic conditions.

Between prescription costs, physician visits, and missed days of work/school, the economic burden of allergic disease exceeds $3 billion annually.

Note that for an individual to develop allergic conditions, he or she must be first exposed or come into contact with an allergen. It is common that an individual’s “first contact” with an allergen may not be easily recognized or may not be known at all.

Some things to note: children born via Caesarean section have a higher risk of allergy compared to children delivered via spontaneous normal delivery; exposure to tobacco smoke increases the risk of allergy; and boys are more likely to be allergic than girls.

The eyes, nose, lungs, skin, and gastrointestinal tract are among the body parts most affected by allergic conditions.

Allergic rhinitis or hay fever — nasal and ocular symptoms that are due to aeroallergens — is the most common of the allergic conditions. The National Health Service (NHS) said the inflammation of the inside of the nose is caused by such allergens as pollen, dust, mold or flakes of skin from certain animals.

Indoor allergens, such as dust mites, animal dander, or mold cause all-year-round or “perennial allergic rhinitis.” Tree, grass, or weed pollens trigger “seasonal allergic rhinitis.” Many individuals have a combination of both seasonal and perennial allergies.

The most common symptoms include sore throat, nosebleed, and nasal congestion. Symptoms of allergic rhinitis result from the inflammation of the tissues that line the inside of the nose after exposure to allergens. The eyes, ears, sinuses, and throat can also be involved.

Conjunctivitis — the second most common of the allergic conditions — is the inflammation of the membranes that cover the surface of the eyeball and the undersurface of the eyelid. The inflammation occurs as a result of an allergic reaction and may produce the following symptoms: redness under the lids and of the eye overall; watery, itchy eyes; and swelling of the membrane.

Eczema or atopic dermatitis, the third most common of the allergic conditions, is commonly found among individuals with other allergic conditions such as asthma and allergic rhinitis. However, it is not usually caused by direct allergen exposure. The eczema rash results from a complicated inflammatory process, whose common features are dry skin associated with significant itching, involvement of the face, the area behind the elbows, and behind the knees, though the rash can occur anywhere.

Another common allergic condition is hives or urticaria, which are skin reactions that appear as red, raised, itchy welts, and can occur on any part of the body.

Short-lived (acute) hives are often due to an allergic reaction to food or medication, though they commonly result from a viral infection in children. Hives that recur over a longer period of time (chronic hives) are rarely due to an allergic reaction, and the underlying cause is typically more complicated.

The raised, red, welts can resolve over hours to a day and are accompanied by intense itching (they are not painful). Many cases are also associated with swelling, particularly of the lips, face, hands, and feet.

The best treatment for an allergy depends on which allergen is causing the reaction. In some cases, avoiding the substance is the most effective way of preventing or managing an allergy. The main medical treatment involves using medication to control the symptoms — anti-histamines, decongestants, leukotriene receptor antagonists, steroid sprays and immunotherapy for some.

If a patient experiences severe allergic reactions — also called anaphylaxis — one may be prescribed an adrenaline injector. Symptoms of anaphylaxis include difficulty breathing and a drop in blood pressure, leading to loss of consciousness.

Why take RELIEF Vs Antihistamines ?

As with many things in Life, rather than continually putting a Symptom Band Aid over a growing Problem, it is important to get to the Problems Source.

This is True for Allergy Disease. Especially given the fact that the Allergy SnowBall only Rolls Bigger & Faster as Time Rolls By. So the sooner you Stop & Melt your Allergy SnowBall, the Better.

When fighting Allergies, Allergy Medicines ( OTC or MD ) only Mask the Symptoms and the Root of the Problem remains intact to Exacerbate, Continue Unabated.

AntiHistamines:

Only Fool the Body into Believing there is No Problem.

Only Work for their given / short term duration before you have to take another, or you find that You have to Increase the Amount because they no longer give you the same relief.

Have many Side Effects i.e. Drossiness, Dry Mouth etc.

Require Lifetime Consumption & $$$ .

When do Allergy Medications serve a purpose ?

While Allergy Med’s only Mask Symptoms, leaving the cumulative Progress of Allergy Disease  Intact to continue / Exacerbate Unabated … They DO serve a very Important purpose.

Namely, they provide Temporary Relief to Seasonal Suffers whose Allergy Disease has not moved to Year-round.

Or, to provide Allergy Relief until GOOy CHEWy RELIEF can begin to provide the Long Term Relief it has been designed to provide.

Given the dozens of types of allergy medications found at your local Pharmacy can be overwhelming, but fear not.

Second-generation over-the-counter medications like Claritin, Zyrtec, and Allegra — which improve upon old options like good Old Benadryl by not putting you to sleep — are more similar than they are different.

You just have to answer a couple of basic questions to figure out which to choose. Of course, it is always a good idea to talk to your doctor before trying any new medication.

  1. Do you need a Decongestant?

If you’re shopping for allergy medication, we’ll assume your eyes are itchy, your nose is running, and you can’t stop sneezing. But if you can still breathe through your nose, proceed to Step 2. If you can’t, consider an allergy medication with an added decongestant.

Antihistamines combined with a decongestant are usually marked with a “D.”

Claritin-D, Allegra-D, and Zyrtec-D all contain a decongestant called pseudoephedrine, the same active ingredient that powers Sudafed. It makes your nose feel less stopped up by narrowing the blood vessels inside your nostrils.

Pseudoephedrine’s usefulness when making Methamphetamine means that in the United States, these drugs need to be purchased directly from the pharmacist with a government ID.

If your primary symptom is a stuffed up nose, you can also ask your Doctor about decongesting nasal sprays. Most require a prescription, but Nasacort is one that just became available over-the-counter.

  1. What’s the difference between Allegra, Claritin, and Zyrtec?

With or without a decongestant, Allegra, Claritin, and Zyrtec are all antihistamines, meaning they calm down your body’s immune reaction to allergens like pollen or animal dander.

“They have different active ingredients but are all in the same family of drugs, they are all considered to be non-sedating or low-sedating anti-histamines (sic), and they are all very effective.”

That said, they do have some very slight differences — which probably aren’t noticeable to every user.

Allegra is the least likely to make you drowsy. Claritin is long-acting, with effects that last for 24 hours. Zyrtec acts the fastest — usually within one hour — but is also the most likely to make you drowsy, so avoid driving, alcohol, and sedatives as you figure out how you react.

It is also a Very Good Idea to find out whether any of your other medications will interact with Allegra, Claritin or Zyrtec.

  1. What about generic brands and cost?

Don’t hesitate to use generic brands. The same antihistamine in Zyrtec, for example, is available as Aller-Tec at Costco, as Wal-Zyr at Walgreens, or even totally “unbranded” almost anywhere.

Just pay attention to labels so you know which active ingredient you’re getting. The active ingredient in Claritin is loratadin, in Allegra it’s fexofenadine, and in Zyrtec it’s cetirizine.

Consumer Reports reviewed all major Allergy Medications and found that monthly costs range considerably depending on which one you choose.

Their “best buy” recommendations were for the 10mg tablets of cetirizine, loratadin (also available in dissolving and liquid forms), and Alavert (a “branded generic” of loratadin).

The average monthly cost of generic cetirizine, for example, is $11, while its branded version, Zyrtec, is $19.

  1. So which one should you choose?

This may sound obvious, but the key thing to pay attention to is not what’s written on a box, but what actually works for you. Some people may respond well to one anti-histamine while getting no benefit from another.

Perhaps the Best Rule of Advise is …

The best one antihistamine is: It’s the one that gives you (the individual) the greatest relief with the fewest side effects at the lowest price. So if one antihistamine isn’t working for you, try a different one.

Of course, when you find your Symptoms persisting and only getting worse, or you find yourself Chasing a Myriad of Allergy Med Cocktails in a effort to achieve Allergy Relief .. it is time to look to addressing the Source of your Allergy Disease and taking a Long Term Approach.

How to identify and cope with different types of Asthma.

There are just as many kinds of asthma as there are symptoms, and they vary from person to person.

The guide presented by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) provides a concise look at the symptoms of asthma, while highlighting its contrary nature.

The most common asthma symptoms are coughing, wheezing, tightness of chest and shortness of breath, but in varying forms and frequencies. While not everyone who has asthma experiences these symptoms, having some of these does not necessarily mean you have asthma. Some symptoms are merely annoying, but others could be troublesome enough to limit daily life.

The form of asthma, its symptoms and severity, and the ideal treatment thereof are best diagnosed by doctors. But knowledge is the first step to successful asthma management, and here is a comprehensive guide.

Allergy-induced asthma

Allergies and asthma often go hand in hand, and allergic asthma is the most common type. It is estimated that 90 per cent of children with asthma have allergies, compared to only 50 per cent of adults with asthma. While allergic rhinitis (hay fever) is the most common chronic allergy, inhaling allergens may also trigger the symptoms, which include a runny nose, ongoing sneezing, scratchy throat, excess mucus and weepy eyes.

Almost everyone with allergic asthma will experience certain characteristic symptoms after exercising in cold air, or inhaling smoke, dust and fumes. Medications to control allergies will usually result in asthma symptoms subsiding.

Adult-onset asthma

When a doctor makes a diagnosis of asthma in people older than 20,
it is known as adult-onset asthma.

Pregnant or menopausal women, those who have just recovered from certain viruses or long illnesses, women who take oestrogen for ten or more years, and those who are allergic to cats, are most likely to get adult-onset asthma. Environmental irritants such as smoke, mould, dust, feathers, perfumes or other environmental irritants bring on sudden and persistent asthma symptoms in these adults.

Exercise-induced asthma

While most asthmatics experience some symptoms after exercise or physical exertion, several people without asthma — including Olympic athletes — develop symptoms only during exercise. In exercise-induced asthma, the airway narrowing peaks between five and 20 minutes after exercise begins, making it difficult to catch
one’s breath.

This may also be accompanied by wheezing and coughing. A doctor can advise the use of an asthma inhaler (bronchodilator) before exercise to prevent these uncomfortable symptoms.

Cough-variant asthma

Severe and persistent coughing is the predominant symptom in cough-variant asthma. Since there are several other causes for coughs, cough-variant asthma
is vastly underdiagnosed, and therefore usually undertreated.

The triggers for this type of asthma are mostly respiratory infections and exercise. Specific asthma tests, such as lung function tests done by a lung specialist, are necessary for an accurate diagnosis.

Occupational asthma

Often, asthma is caused by exposure to substances in the workplace, in one of three ways — an allergic reaction, irritant reaction and chemical reaction.

It can be caused by an allergy or as an irritant effect to certain substances, or by exposure to specific chemicals, proteins, metals, grains or fumes that build up in the lungs and result in an asthma attack.

Nocturnal
asthma

With symptoms such as tightness of chest, shortness of breath, coughing and wheezing that only occur at night, nocturnal asthma can make sleep impossible, accompanied by daytime fatigue. Explanations include nocturnal narrowing of the airways, hormonal secretions that follow a circadian pattern and changes in bronchial function during sleep.

Does GOOy CHEWy have a Sample Program for HONEY plus RELIEF ?

While it is normal to ask if SAMPLEs are available, especially given the fact that GOOy CHEWy is Not a Casual Purchase, there is NOT a Sample Program for GOOy CHEWy RELIEF.

Typically, when Customers ask for SAMPLEs, it is for the following Two Reasons.

#1) They want to see what it Taste Like.

#2) They want to see if the Product “Works”.

To these Two Points, Please find the following reply:

#1) The Customer wants to see what it Taste Like.

In the case of GOOy CHEWy RELIEF, because it is a Honey-Based Confectionary, it is Important that You “Like” Honey. And that You “ Like” a GOOy Type of Confectionery.

If Yes, You are good to GOoy, if Not, You will Not Like GOOy CHEWy RELIEF.

#2) The Customer wants to see if the Product “Works”.

To address this Question / Request, it is Important to understand a number of points:

#1) GOOy CHEWy is Not a Drug, it is a Health Supplement. And as such, can not Claim to Diagnose, Mitigate, Treat, Cure or Prevent Disease.

As such, when you examine GOOy CHEWy’s “Health Focus” i.e. Building Tolerance to Allergy Sources toward (possible ) relief of Allergy Symptoms, it is Not Possible for GOOy CHEWy to actually “Say” that it works to Mitigate, Treat, Cure or Prevent your Allergy Disease.

#2) GOOy CHEWy does feel that it’s GOOy CHEWy RELIEF Product / Ingredients will build Tolerance to its targeted Enviro Allergy TroubleMakers with the “anticipated goal” of a tolerance level that produces diminished allergy discomfort.

However, because everyone’s health profile and extent of allergy entrenchment is different. And that may co-Factors come into play regarding the resolution of an allergy status, it can not be determined “How Long” it may take for each individual to Experience ( if at all ) any symptom improvement.

Certainly, based on GOOy CHEWy’s knowledge of Allergy Disease and the attributes of it’s Product GOOy CHEWy RELIEF, the Quantity of GOOy CHEWy RELIEF Product necessary to achieve desired Allergy RELIEF Goals is beyond what can be offered to “See if GOOy CHEWy RELIEF “Works”.

All said and done, given the Commutative, Progressive Nature of allergy Disease, all the various O.T.C. & M.D. Allergy Treatment “Options” available to You, together with an understanding of GOOy CHEWy RELIEF’s tolerance building strategy / ingredients, GOOy CHEWy feels that it is certainly worth a try …

You just might be Pleasantly Surprised !
